True, Sporting rested a lot of regulars at the Camp Nou, because it was a midweek game, and 3 days later there was another La Liga game. If I remember correctly, their coach said that he rested a lot of regulars, because they have a very thin squad, and they're not capable of playing 3 games a week at the highest level. So in that sense, it makes most sense to rest your key players in the game in which your chance of winning is the lowest (Barca at Camp Nou).

Then Mourinho complained about that, and then Sporting's coach said that Mourinho lacked respect for the small clubs.

And then RM put an official statement on their website, to condamn Sporting's coach behaviour. Quite ridiculous if you ask me; 'cause obviously, you reap what you sow.

Tom man you forget something Sporting also had a midweek game vs Mallorca in Copa del Rey.. so it's no excuse . it's all down to the Botia deal ;)
The Sporting manager behavior was ridiculous as i said Jose had a valid point

The only people who make a huge deal out of Mourinho's comments are either half of Cules, Arsene Wenger, Ranieri and Benitez. Everyone around the globe couldn't careless and find his comments either funny or simply do not pay attention to them.
I suppose you haven't followed Mourinho in previous years. Last year he had an argument with nearly every manager in Italy...

This is what I'm talking about, because this post fits with your agenda, you agree with it, but because it doesnt fit with my agenda, i will disagree with it. We are all as bad as each other.

Because Beast is using them to try and prove that Real Madrid are the most popular club in Spain

When you reach puberty let us know meanwhile
an opinion is not similar to "what team do you support " .. so when someone ask you what team do you support it's not about agenda but your preference understood now Hammy ? or you are still as thick as you were with your old user name .

And yeah Real Madrid is not the most popular team in Spain.. wonder what Meta & Tiam have as a hidden agenda to confirm his widely known fact.

i showed you the hole.. now go sit in it till i tell you to come out

I didnt disagree with that, because they are the most popular i just didnt like him using "official studies" to try and prove it

didn't take you so long to change stance.. very hammyesque

OK first if all, I did not change my stance, all I said is that "Official studies" usually have hidden agendas and I am not Hammy for crying out loud, that guy ticks me off so bad its unbeliveble.

Based on your words ?
Real have more than half as supporters which mean those half will "NATURALLY " be anti Barca.. so if Real has 55 % fans., 45 % haters .. that leaves Barca with 55 % (Valencia third on the fans list btw ) haters and thus you top the chart.. got that now ? it's basics really Rick
and while Real dominance in the fans part is backed up by independent studies your words are backed up just be your feeling
As for Jose he showed nothing but humility with everyone except for Sporting and as i mentioned he has a valid point

 55%?

sport+markt(leading comapany in research and investigation) said that madrid has 6,8 millions of fans in Spain (39%) and Barcelona has 5,5 (29%) There is a big margin for antimadridismo that is clearly growing in Spain, just check what happened today on the pitch. PURE HATE

PD. Barcelona has more fans in Europe

While studies are flawed they do point out general trends...yes Madrid is by far the most popular club in Spain, followed by Barcelona and then far behind Valencia.

Outside of Catalonia and the Basque Country the overwhelming majority of Spaniards are Madrid fans, in fact in towns where there is no notable La Liga club the general trend is for everyone to be a fan of Real and the local club.

In central Spain most people HATE Barca, they consider it a club for people who hate their country. Besides Catalonia and to an extent the Basque Country, Barca is popular in places with strong regional pride like Valencia, Asturias, Galicia and Aragon but even then you will find as many Madrid fans and Barca haters as Barca fans. In Castile typically the only cules are those from towns where a Barca legend is from; such as Zapatero because Cesar Rodriguez was from Leon...

Using today as an explain is a fail because Sporting has a close relationship with Barcelona.
