Do not get this Özil wankfest. he had an okay game, but after about 6 or 7 clasicos where he not played at all or was completly nullified he was due an acceptable game. Main reason was our complete luck of commitment, pressure and form today.

Exactly, same with Granero(which is more laughable). Once they do it consistently for a couple of seasons then go on to give them this kind of praise.

For the moment it is deserved, because he had a brilliant game. Okay? More like great and I'm not even his fan. He was the best guy on the pitch.

Sure, nobody is denying his scrubbyness in last 7 games against Barca, but such a sudden change from shit to great has to be noticed. It's a whole different thing whether he keeps it up or not, but if you ask me, if he had one game like that out of nowhere he is bound to have another one given the coach gets it right.

+ what kind of praise is that? I'm not hailing him like he was a god of footie. The sudden transformation is the point of the argument.

Arbeloa (Real Madrid): "I think our mental block against Barcelona has ended today." #fcblive #elclasico

we are doomed :(

 thats exacly what they said at the beginning of this season and they've already lost all 3 classicos. I guess retards never learn.

Casillas (Real Madrid): "We have no mental block against Barcelona." #fcblive #elclasico -last week :rofl1:

Conclusion after this game: RM is still the favourite for La Liga, but in CL they wouldn't finish with 11 players on the pitch in either of these 2 matches.
But then again they have 23 players available and we only have 13..honestly, in the end I was cheering for a RM goal. I'm ashamed of my self. :(

only reason madrid were in this game is cause barca were sloppy and feeling good after a padded lead from the 1st leg. also ineista going out hurt our possession game

Ronaldo can only seem to score vs our backup keeper  :worthy: pinto

Well done to Barca for moving through. Only someone from La Masia would understand that pass for Pedros goal. Lets not pretend CR does great when Valdes is playing. Pep you are a genius. Busquets you beautiful mutherfxcker. What happened to Pique? Abidal looked like.... well Ive never seen him like that really... few were pretty good others great. All while managing to make it past the 2nd best team in the world. Mascherano was eating carnitas all week preparing for Pepe. We advance Im happy..... Alves

Because Granero has a 1 good game every 10 matches, people are going all over him but he is just average. He has his moments of brilliance, but they are random, there are hundreds of midfielders like that around the globe. He is not consistent at all
I disagree since IMO his style is more suited to a patient build-up, which Madrid usually lacks in all the games he's played in. More of the case of no ball = bad game IMO

Agree...it's so easy to notice that but

some people here are just unable to handle the fact that Real was superior last night ..

the reason the ball players looked great last night is due to the fact that most of the people around them were the same type of players who are talented midfielders and not destroyers ..

I feel sorry in a way for Jose that he was proven dead wrong yesterday.. could've been his call if he listened and tried to change the type of players who failed over and over again vs Barca while the answer was right in front of him.. you have the talents PLAY THEM .. the only thing he tried before and worked and did the same last night was the pressure , we didn't allow Barca time to dictate or create
I think last night was a good mental test , we played our cards and Jose should learn that with the Kaka-Ozil -Callejon-Granero you can beat Barca.. if he played like that at home it would have been a different outcome but it's better to lose the CDR than a CL tie

I am trying so hard not to get carried away here because I want us to improve on this, not relax.

The way we press will tire out the players, the problem is that we have 2-3 players rush the player on the ball but what we need to practice is to close down channels, as in, close down options. This is very difficult but numerous times yesterday I saw Barcelona pass the ball around 2-3 of our players because they are running after the ball.

The high pressure game works, sure it makes you tired, but everytime its been tried to the max, you've almost beat us in the first 20 minutes. Mourinho should stick to that if he wants to end this awful run.
