you need full backs who are solid defensively and could do a good job vs wingers .. while Arbeloa could do a good job with Messi for example.. Messi would eat Canella alive as an appetizer before breakfast

yes it is, i'll give you that...but not in this case. i rate canella above arbeloa in terms of future and potential. IMO canella, marcano & azpilicueta are the most promising spanish youngsters atm. i rather get one of them and wait with the same pacience we all waited for marcelo/robinho or gago. in time these kids will be great players if nothing happens to them. i just don't see that potential in arbeloa, nore do i see a signifficant improvement by bringing him in.

well, while i get your point i'd like to state that it worked quite well before with r. carlos & ramos.
with regards to messi...come on, for real??? he's hardly a reference. messi has already eaten marcelo, ramos etc...and on his day, he eat whoever he wants...all he can eat, including arbeloa or whoever you want. but your point is well taken.

why would david villa be pissed with madrid??? a deal with valencia was agreed, done. but valencia broke that deal and showed the world their word is worth shit. if anything, he should be pissed with valencia

what cantera alternative does he talk about exactly??? can't be granero, since he's already there and madrid still want xabi. so who is pérez talking about???

btw...garay is left out of the squad for tonights peace cup game!!! just like heinze, VDV & huntelaar...again. a sign that garay is out??? after all, he's calderons & mijats signing, which makes him have a bad taste i guess

this has nothing to do with my preference, but with pellegrini wanting 2 players for every position. not counting arbeloa, the LB spot would only have marcelo, and the CBs would be albiol, pepe, metzelder.
IMO the most likely thing will be to use arbeloa as LB and promote agus as CB instead of buying again. your thoughts???

that's what pirri claims in his colum for MARCA!!! it's a sad day when you out of everyone else believe in someone talking out of his ass, bringing absolutely no quote or sorces for what he claims. while on the other hand valdano said in an interview they offered 25m € PLUS NEGREDO, but had different view on negredos valuation. therefore they offered cash only instead, around 40m € + (...can't remeber the precice number). valencia accepted (which means DEAL DONE!!!) that offer, but suddenly decided to first break their word cause it's not enough and second declair david villa not for sale.

that's what valdano said in an actual interview. so, when it comes down to some MARCA reporter in his colum, with no sorces at all to back his claims up and valdano in an actual interview (which could have easily been denied by valencia if he as per your wishes was lying...but it wasn't), valdano wins the credability hands down!!!
