That makes sense I guess given that Arsenal and Chelski fans have to pay for transport, food, drink etc. in London plus season tickets at those clubs are stupidly priced. I'm not really sure what the overall conclusion to this is though other than the fact that football fans spend a lot of money on their passion.

would have thought english would have been higher with those who follow home and away. transport isnt cheap.

What's really strange is the lack of Inter & Milan fans ..
Juve fans are the biggest spenders in Italian football

And all the united fans spend all their money flying in from asian and middle east...

another surprising bit is to see tottenham up there... i have a soft spot for that team and their passionate fans is a reason to that.

Well if we're talking local fans, Chelsea fans are probably the richest as well by rule of thumb, and so are likely to spend more on their club as well + merchandise and tickets are more likely to be overpriced.

Chelsea fans don't come from the rich part of London though, the ground may be on some of the capital's most valuable real estate but there are a lot of normal football fans amongst their support (still tossers though).

I'm sure there are, but then there are normal football fans at every club, wouldn't Chelsea still have some of the most wealthy supporters? Especially the new generation of support that formed after Abramovich arrived. Judging by average ticket price figures alone, Chelsea is far the most expensive, sometimes with an average £20 higher than most clubs, so that already rules out the possibility of it being a 'people's club'

Strong rumors about Real getting David Luiz for the summer , even Emilio announced today they are following closely the development of the tall full back/CB ..
