Keirrison is not at Barcelona so if you are comparing spending in terms of building a team, and you are doing that, you can easily erase another 15 million from this year.

But as you were comparing the spending in building a team, and you very much were, Barcelona could also add the value of Hleb and Caceres, because we loaned them instead of sellng them (which might become the opposite of your Negredo action, meaning it will give us money where you lose money to receive the instant cash you needed this year depending on Negredo's comeback) and they are not part of the team. Hence, we could actually deduct roughly another 20 million this year.
Balancing in the end a nice 170 versus 55-60.

But that's nonsense. Real Madrid had a team in the late fifties that was incredible. Look at their performance in 1960 against Eintracht Frankfurt. Look at the way Di Stefano moves with the ball! And you think that team was rubbish? They compare with Brazil of 1970!
It's not any more difficult to win the Champions Leauge now than it ever was, simply because like then, only one team can win it. What we can say for sure is that back then, it was harder to ENTER the competition because you had to be Champions. That's why it was called the Champions Cup, you know!
