i think the thing with david villa is, that you can't rely on higuain only - as shown against lyon. when he has a day off, there is no one to replace him...really replace him. cause neither benzema nore raul provide the kind of danger or goals that higuain currently does. for a team aiming as high as real, one great striker just isn't enough. therefore - and with the departure of ruud, the possible retirement of raul and the likely sale of benzema due to the reasons you meantioned - i believe the socios want someone like david villa, who would bring both goals and experience in addition to a 22y old who's still very much in his development.

i agree with regards to the midfield as the weak point...which is why i'm not that surprised about david silva & fábregas being priority for the socios. but baring that in mind, as well as the resent aquisition of benzema and the latest break-through of higuain, david villa still coming third with around 47% is quite a statement IMO.

as for andy cole...it's MARCAs mistake, not yours beast;)

Higuain will be better than David Villa in time.. he is 22 ffs and he gets better each year.

since his arrival each season he do a lot better than the season before so why should we invest in a players who will end his career 3-4 years (or lose part of his strength which is pace ) ?

I don't want David Villa and frankly speaking i don't see anyone on the scene that makes a big difference and available .

stick to Higuain as for your question Estel , Benzema could be sold if he failed to adapt which he clearly is and he has issues connecting with everyone due to lack of language .

It's better to admit a mistake and sale him now instead of losing more money in the future..
i think the next 11 games in la liga is crucial in his situation .. as far as i know he currently have home sickness and big big adaption problems
that's something u can't fix in time it's his personality .. we will see what will happen

probably, check out beasts comments, a view posts before. could be another case of anelka

SAF is so gonna love that situation man!! He would get to have his first choice, for a LOT less and what more!? A back-to-earth super star!! Would listen to whatever SAF says now... definitely wouldn't have been the case had he went straight there!!

exactly, he's just 22y old, still very young. thus needs to be taken care of. he should not carry the burden of goals all on his own. so far, he's the only striker - i don't consider cristiano a striker.

no one will end his career!!! no striker did manage to do so ever since higuain arrived. instead, with the competition in front, he fought back and got better and better.

let me clarify, it's not my intention to belittle higuain!!! i just don't think it's a good idea to play a whole season with only 1 striker worth being called a striker, plus cristiano as very offensive sort of striker.

what now!?

His issues will remain the same in United or any team outside of France.

he can't speak/learn any languages from the looks of it (Real Madrid hired a professor to teach him the language back in December ) and he feels homesick .. that's something that goes with the player wherever he is and that's taking into consideration that even other french/french speaking players like the two Diarra's couldn't help him integrate till now .
he is very close to Ribery so if the club get Frank it could help him a bit but i still feel he need to grow up and try to learn the language quickly (or even English ) otherwise he is destined to go back to ligue 1 or join a team full of French players like Arsenal ..

maybe Real would go for a deal of Benzema + money for Cesc ? it's hard to tell now

Do you honestly truly think you guys have a chance of Cesc coming? Serious question not mocking or trying to start anything.

I he said many times he have no issues playing for Real , for me it depend on De La Red he will always be my first choice but if it's down to "would Cesc join Real Madrid if the offer comes and Arsenal accepted ? " my answer is 100 % yes , Cesc would do what's best for him regardless of the club he will join .

loyal local boys stay and suffer even with little chances like we saw with your youth or players like Granero,De La Red..etc .. it's like asking me "would Mata join Barca ? " my answer would be a definite yes like Cesc

There is no guarantees of anything Benj , the club needed to balance the books and neither Wes nor Robben were first choice to leave ..but we have to move and so did they .. i will always have great memories of both of them (no matter what they say cause i know both are really hurt ) and be grateful for their service .

i also think it worked out well for VDV who regained form and one of the best players for Real this season so it's a win win situation
