I watch football to be entertained , whether this is done by Mallorca or Bolton ...
Entertainment can only comes when you are enjoying those 90 mintues

you can be entertained by a drama, comedy .. just because it's different genre doesn't mean it's not entertainment ..

following the example i've given what you are saying is like saying " i don't like drama , i'm into comedy " .. that doesn't mean the other genre is not entertaining but it means it's not your cup of tea

anyhow according to a report in Sport , Mourinho will try to bring in Drogba to partner Higuain upfront while the Portuguese requested that the club get rid of Benzema who he sees have no future in Real

Read that, Drenthe to Juve for Sissoko ... i like the Malian , he is more technical than Diarra and younger

Agree , after the provisional 80 minutes of laughter..

Drenthe will come good for Juve as a LW , they lack pace & technical players.. he need confidence and balance training

I would never say sissoko is more technical than diarra. Neither is very technical. If you look at the mali midfield, then you could say someone like keita is technical, but not diarra and definitely not sissoko.

Good player, and one I admired while playing for liverpool, but technical? Hmm..

Momo is a bit technical but after doing some spectacular moves he loses the ball so easy it makes you laugh.

Ok fair enough, if u will call him technical then he is clumsy technical. You would look at him to break up attacks and play a decent short pass, not to bring a technical edge to the midfield.

ffs...i knew this rumor was coming the minute you guys discussed who might be his CF

if mourinho is becoming the coach, we can all look forward to boring 1:0 result focused football. great defensive football with counter attacks that go like this: lampard or any of the 5 DMs on the pitch will immidiatly after recovering the ball play a long high cross to drogba who may score and maybe not score.

seriously, pérez & valdano should deffinitly think this over...think this over real good. getting mourinho would be
1) a betrayal to their own project/idea - as if they REALLY thought pellegrini would bring in instant success/trophies!!! the idea behind hiring someone like pellegrini was to get a coach for a long term project.
2) another step backwards into the wrong direction. mourinho will not win the CL in his first year!!! he will however piss off madridistas with his antics and his boring football, thus he won't last longer than capello, so that real will have to look again for another coach. and that time, there might be nobody left other than michel!!! :(

djila is technical, his eye for a pass over more than 5 yards isn't the best, though.

I find reial to be tremendously entertaining sometimes. the problem with them is often I want them to lose, and they have these dramatic comebacks and win. so part of me is thinking "blimey, that was exciting" and part of me is thinking "OH FOR FUCKS SAKE **INSERTOPPONENTHERE** WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!?"

but yeah, I wouldn't say their play is beautiful, certainly not as a general rule. of course beautiful football isn't necessary to be a good, or even great, side. it's an ideal which either you strive for or you don't. florentino perez has long strived to have his teams play beautiful football. he's an idealist in that sense, and has twice sacked don fabio because he was too pragmatic and results-orientated.

will be interesting to see how pragmatic he is with jose, if indeed that's who the new manager is.

It was calderón that sacked capello last time, but I still agree with what you're saying. He has an ideal, but I see mourinho as a clash. The fans don't even know what they want. The club brought in capello after no trophies, and the guy won a trophy. Then the fans wanted better football so he was out. Now you are trophyless again and you want to bring in mourinho who isn't going to accept being told to play beautiful football. The guy wants results.

Not to mention, although I haven't been following the Mourinho story, doesn't valdano have beef with the way he plays? I remember he critisised mourinho and benitez a few seasons ago for their shit-on-a-stick-esque football.

yes it was calderon...but the way of acting is the same: sacking and hiring coaches based on instant Cl glory only hasn't worked throughout the last couple of years. not under pérez' first ear - where the time window for that achievment was very very small - as well as under calderon. and it won't work under pérez' second era either - even though you have credit him for giving pellegrini a complete season.
winning the CL within one year isn't realistic considering the current quality of europes big clubs.

real madrids situation won't change as long as they focus more on winning the CL at all costs instead of improving the team and the clubs stability. you can't force success that way.

EDIT:

what a great gesture by pellegrini...he's called up the whole squad for the trip to málaga, including the injured players such as pepe, as well as ruben de la red!!!

You have the liverpool Sissoko in your head.. throw that shit period away ..
Sissoko is very technical DM .. i've seen pull some amazing dribbles with Juve.

Not that clumsy believe me

The CL trophy .. could ease up/extend a stay for a manager , it's like everything else is a homework and the CL is the test..

regarding the last line.. yes Valdano is not a fan of either and he could step down in the summer

:(

It's not just about Perez , Del Bosque aside we changed managers on yearly basis including Juup Hey. who won the 7th ..

it's very nice gesture from Manuel especially the De La red part
