Beautiful, no. Desperate, yes. Entertaining, yes. Frustratingly annoying with late goals, hell yes!

You do realize you are one of the people who for quite some time kept complaining that Real Madrid are playing like Barca and Barca are playing like old Real and you were frustrated by that fact ;)

Pellegrini has hinted that he know it's his last game in charge of Real " t i'm not so naive to think that all the rumors are justspeculation "

he also went on the attack saying whoever take over Real next season will have to come up with more than 100 goals and more than 100 points

It's not just about Perez , Del Bosque aside we changed managers on yearly basis including Juup Hey. who won the 7th ..

it's very nice gesture from Manuel especially the De La red part

yes, but the difference IMO is, that during history real madrids squads were superior to other clubs, due to their players quality. therefore, it didn't matter who coached the team...when you're superior, who have to win everything. simple as that.

but that is past tense...for years real madrid did not have a squad that was that superior to other european clubs. changing coaches like in the good old times doesn't work no longer...better find a decent coach you can stick with, let him work, focus on a serious long term project and above all: work on getting back that superior squad.
take barca's squad for instance...with their current squad, plus david villa, fábregas - who said he'll only leave for barca - the sack of ibra and the rumored surprise of rossel being fernando torres, you just know that they will be there for a very long time. they would need a very very incompetent coach to fuck up with a squad like that.

Nando in principle you are right but the coach has to convince the management that he is in for the long term and can improve .
Pellegrini record in crucial games makes it hard to gamble on him to be fair

Or perhaps a win in the champions league to advance to the semi finals, or maybe a win against Barca?

What will happen, if you do win the league?

same thing as if we don't win the league .. Manuel is a dead man walking..
well he is a dead man walking since the CL tie (and probably the classico didn't cast any doubt in the management mind )

i do agree that it's a hard decision and i further agree that pellegrini has made some mistakes. tactical ones with kaká & xabi alonso who IMO should be played more offensively, the 4-2-2-2 etc...

what kicks it for me though, is the question about the alternative. MOURINHO???!!! hell no. get a coach that suits a long term project, a project which pérez & valdano believed in in the beginning and that IMO hasn't failed just yet and i'll say fine. but mourinho is not the kind of coach to plan with. he will either be sacked next summer because of his boring football and also not getting the CL or he'll leave in 2 years to go back to the EPL where he wants to end. spain is just a "visit" on his way back to england. meanwhile, mourinho assured drogba & lampard to get retirement contracts with real madrid, leaving the club with 2 oldies and no youngsters, since he has no use for players like david silva or canales.

and seriously...i puke by the thought of valdano stepping down, mourinho taking over full controle, replacing him in the media too and bring in drogba, lampard and carvalho probably too complete the grumpy old men combo from back then in chelsea.

when pérez & valdano came back, they had a really good plan and project. a project that actually would see this club changing in time. giving up on that project will throw real back years and see them fail in their goals.

capello declared his desire to stay with england till the EC 2012...i guess this means the final good bye to don fabio from a real madrid perspective.

chelsea are rumored to reward ancelotti for the double with gifting him kaká. i doubt pérez will sell him, unless there is shit load of money involved.
