Ronald Koeman

DonAK

President of FC Barcelona
I've not seen anyone suggest Koeman should be replaced because of the reasons you mentioned. Which reporters or journalists have said that?

The main argument made by those people is that if they are considering that Koeman should be replaced then it shouldn't be based on results and the trophies won, but rather the confidence the new board have in Koeman being the right man to lead a new project, which some of them don't believe he is, which is a very valid take given Koeman has done nothing in his club career to suggest he is the right man for something like that.

At the moment I'm in the camp of giving Koeman another season, but it will depend on if we can continue this run of improved form and keep showing signs of positive development. I respect Koeman for using our younger players and trusting them.

Rafael Hernandez is one,

but also look for example at what Guillem Ballague writes, who does not openly attack Koeman, but indicates in a subdued and covert way he should be replaced in the summer

What is the one decent take from Guillem Balague in the last 5 years? Dude is the token Spaniard for Sky, nothing more.

Edit: Apparently doesn't even work there anymore either

Quite like Balague when he is just talking about football and reporting facts/situations at clubs.

Speaks well, engaging and gets decent/interesting interviews on la liga tv.

He is as hit or miss as rest of them when trying to jump the gun on rumours but doesnt do that nearly as much as is made out and is not trying to be some great ITK journalist. Most of what he does report states where rumour coming from.

IDK. I haven't seen anything that interesting from him in ages. For the longest time he's been the guy giving the casual UK fan the scoop that most if not all La Liga regular viewers would already know or find obvious.

Yeah he's basically just regurgitating the Twitter rumour mill. Generally quite like listening to him though on Football matters aside from the rumour mill stuff.

He is at least better than Graham Hunter, who when on commentary ends up spewing out monologues about imaginary situations.

Both are horrible, and tbh both aren't relevant to Catalan media at all. Hernandez is a clown to put it nicely.

Also:

4) All those ridiculously high standards not being applied against EV for the past 3 years.

Rafael Hernandez and his twitter clan has murdered EV for years, what they have been saying about Koeman isn't anything close to how they criticized EV.
But it is the problem with the Pepista's of the world, they will always one up you when it comes to Barca.
Koeman is bad because he isn't playing Puig (their favorite) and because he isn't Xavi or Pep

Can't believe anyone takes Rafael Hernandez seriously anymore. Guy's always been a clown.

What factor is he, really?

He's enjoying the best times since he took over.

We have Sociedad away before the NT break, let's hope we keep this up.

Huge and I do mean, HUGE game coming up vs Real Sociedad away at the Anoeta. If he can get the squad fired up for that and get the W, it will be a gamechanger. If so, massive pressure will be on ATM after the international break.

If only the team had clicked a little bit sooner we might even had a chance against psg. But it's for the best anyway. We couldn't make it too far in cl. But now LL is again on the table.
