Ronald Koeman

This, unfortunately. The oldies will be regulars and Xavi is done after one season.

Pique, Roberto, Busquets, Alba, maybe even Messi need to be gone when Xavi takes over. If Laporta decides that's this summer, even better. Cause those players need to go in any case. But I also wouldn't mind Pimienta getting a shot first to really mould out the team, possibly find a gem or two from the B team (Nico, Jandro?) so that Xavi has some depth as well by the time he takes over.

I said it even before he was hired.

This guy was fired from Valencia, Southampton and Everton lol.

You can have a one off i..e Lucho at Roma where things didn't work out and then he went on to be a successful manager at a big club...but a guy like Koeman who has been fired from midtable clubs you just know what you are gonna get.

I actually think its great that Barca are out of La Liga. Seeing this crap team led by one of the worst top team managers in world football lift Liga would be nothing short of a joke.

Koeman is not a man that will let any player intimidate him. Just goes against his nature. He's sadly just not a very good manager even if he has a strong personality.

That's true only if he knows the has the sufficient authority AND power to make decisions.
Unfortunately, he does NOT.

The fact that the team played greatly without Roberto and Pique, but they are shoehorned once they are back tells something not about Koeman, but about their power

Exactly. Didn't this season go to shitter after Pique came back from his injury? Then Roberto etc. It's been decline since then.

If you are really interested: 1.25-3.04
Should have been 0-4 in the first half if our finishers were not AGAIN wasteful.
And our defenders gave them their only big chance.

But you want me to say I blame Koeman for this. Easy scapegoat.
1) I blame Koeman for playing Pique and Roberto? Yes, because Pique gave one goal to Levante, and Roberto another.
2) Do I blame him for being forced to play the Amigos? NO, the fact that Pique and Roberto are still playing for Barca is not his fault.
3) Do I blame Koeman for this shitty paper mentality this team has? NO, as that is again not his fault

It's amazing that Koeman is always at fault for everything.
It's the president's job to kick the Amigos out of this team once and for all

Concended 3 goals from 1.25 xG. Think about it.

With all due respect, I don't think anyone in Catalunya give a damn about playing Roberto. If you think people here dislike him you should read what local fans think about him online

Pique is probably one of our better CBs because the other options apart from Araujo are bad. Lenglet has singlehandedly cost us like five or six points this season.

Koeman is the same manager that insisted on keeping Coutinho and called him right away after he was hired to tell him that he was a big part of his plans. He's just not a very good manager, that's all.

Koeman is a legend, but he can be cynical and keep grudges and favourize certain players over others whether they deserve it or not. That problem have followed him his entire club career. It's nothing new.

That's why I never liked the hire to begin with, although I'm grateful for the groundwork Koeman has put in.

Why don't you apply this to every Barca coach???

Nothing to think about.
Biggest part of that xG was 'created' by Roberto not being able to defend.
Pique gave 1 goal, Roberto another.
That's it.
It is what it is.

Not really. Pique is a cancer on and off the field.
He is not a decent CB since quite some time ago.
Proved that again today by handing the 3rd goal.

Araujo and Migueza are levels above Pique in actual defending. Lenglet is a necessary evil because he is left-footed.
That's all there is to it.
How you conclude from our lack of options at CB that Koeman is a bad manager is beyond me...

I thought so too about Pique, but now I think he's our worst defender after Umtiti. Lenglet's fuck-ups were abysmal to the point of being hilarious, but that's the thing, they are exceptionally bad errors that happen in spells of bad focus, then recede for a while, then come back again, then go away from some time as well.

In time, Lenglet's fuck-ups will become chronic no doubt. We're not there yet, which is why he should be given another season.

But Pique, sorry, his problems are constant and unfixable. They are present in nearly every game. Don't even think his head is on football anymore. He's checked out. Pique, Roberto, Umtiti, Stegen, these 4 are constantly a problem for me.

Pique need to go, no doubt about that, and we need to make a signing at CB that reflects where the club want to be. Eric Garcia is not that. We need to sign someone that instantly becomes the best defender in the club and is either World Class or close to reaching that level.
