I don't rate massively rate Simeone either anymore. I think he's annoying to play against and enough of a threat that you need to not lose sight of him but can be controlled. Doesnt have a surprise element in him no more.

We have no route at all cuz project depends on making revenue off selling players on for more than could be worth ordinarily (Regui, Llorente, Hakimi, planning same for the likes of Ceballos probably) while hardly improving own situation. It's coasting all the way to another Galactico. Could argue our sporting department made far more logical decisions when Valdano was around. Other than that feels like we relied on Zidane eye for a player (one who'll be good regardless who coaches them) when he was a director or manager and catching them early. But even that's fallible and random to extent. Can't get lucky fishing out Varanes Casemiros and Fedes all the time - need a guy who builds into a structure more than we do right now.

Super fearful they'll actually try sign Conte once Ramos departure confirmed

Currently we are closer to Arsenal level than Barca level of the glorious past. You are the best positioned club in Spanish football and could have nearly an untouchable route to the league title in the next 5-7 seasons easily. I don't see ATM competing and think Simeone is massively overrated. However, it's not looking like a good future for Spanish teams in CL and Europa. Feels like the gap between EPL and LL is widening

This is hyperbole in my opinion. Nobody, not us, not Real Madrid can be said to dominate the league for sure in the next 2 to 3 seasons, let alone 5 to 7 years. A lot can happen that will suddenly change the trajectory of the clubs, both good and bad. Real Madrid started their rebuild much earlier than we did, and for a while I thought they were pretty set for the future with talents in multiple positions, but things have changed in the past couple of seasons that made them look quite vulnerable. Their rebuild is not going much better than ours. The same with us, we have some talented youngsters but none of them look polished and set to be the future flag bearers at this point. A lot can still change.

Overall I'd say Real Madrid is better positioned financially with their head start in the new Bernabeu which will generate them more revenue than us in the coming seasons. But that is not to say they will have all the muscles to dominate La Liga.

I agree with Wolfe that both of us, and Atletico Madrid should be strong enough to keep the league strong and more appealing. Otherwise it won't be good for any of us.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
Three consecutive chances to get to the top of the table (even if temporarily) blown away, he choked as hard as the weak minded players...

Muh Barca DNA will be the end of this club

There are some rumors pointing towards Jordi Cruyff actually coming to the club as a manager, not as a sporting director.

Nothing to think about.
Biggest part of that xG was 'created' by Roberto not being able to defend.
Pique gave 1 goal, Roberto another.
That's it.
It is what it is.

Not really. Pique is a cancer on and off the field.
He is not a decent CB since quite some time ago.
Proved that again today by handing the 3rd goal.

Araujo and Migueza are levels above Pique in actual defending. Lenglet is a necessary evil because he is left-footed.
That's all there is to it.
How you conclude from our lack of options at CB that Koeman is a bad manager is beyond me...

Like Tottenham had better xG but somehow lost 2-7 to Bayern. Or like Liverpool only had 2.12 xG vs 1.2 xG of Barca at Anfield. Base on xG, Barca should be the team in the final.

Xavi or pimienta are the only choices IMO. No way any top European coach is touching this squad and cleaning out the carcasses of the amigos

Pimienta? I mean WTF? He would be Setien 2.0! Some people will never learn. We need to stop experimenting with second level managers and finally sign a world class manager! Just look what Tuchel did with Chelsea!

Unfortunately there are no world class managers available. Although I?d personally rather gamble on an unknown manager than a proven mediocre coach. I mean Koeman had been managing for over 20 years before he arrived at Barca, Setien too.

At least Pimienta is somewhat unknown and hasn?t failed yet to be pretty sure it isn?t going to work before he even starts.

We are constantly making mistakes by trying to copy things from our past. For example:

1. That fucking Barca DNA bullshit where every manager has to be somehow connected to our DNA. This is just absurd.
2. Every manager we are considering has to be either Spanish, Barca legend or South American so he can understand Spanish.
3. We are constantly hoping we will find another Pep in our system. Pimienta will never be Pep and we are all aware that this would be another epic disaster.
4. People are claiming that there are no WC managers available at the moment. Well, Tuchel was available few months ago but no one cared.
5. In the end there is Xavi. We are all hoping that he will be Pep 2.0 while he could easily end up like Pirlo did with Juve.

With all that in mind, if we are trying to sing players like Haaland why can't we sign a world class manager? If we have money for all those "star players" we need to find resources for someone who will be able to manage them.

1) That is true, it does hold the club back.

2) Isn't that just logic though, you can't have a manager go into a country where he doesn't speak a word of the language, how the fuck is he going to communicate.

4) is true though. Tuchel is at Chelsea, Pep happy at City, Klopp happy at Liverpool, Ten Hag new deal at Ajax, Naglesmann at Bayern, Flick going to the national team - none of those definitive upgrades is available to replace Koeman.

The only choice at this point is either to stick with Koeman or go for an unproven coach and hope we unearth another gem. If not it's just going to be another mediocre manager without a clear vision and system on how the team should play who will bow down to players that have won more honours than him.

Needs to go asap.
Pochettino was available for such a long time and ofc Barca didn't go for him.
Tuchel was also available but who cared about that at Barca?
There aren't any wc managers available atm so I'd go after Ancelotti or try hard to lure Klopp out of LFC so we can start a proper rebuilt of the team, there were rumours in Laporta's campaign that he'd go for the german coach and I'd do anything I could for him especially now with the poor season Liverpool has.

The same Pochettino that is currently bottling Ligue 1 with PSG?
