Ronald Koeman

Brendan always struck me as a talentless fraud since his Liverpool days. I guess some of his results since then have been good though.

Yeah he showed his limitations at Liverpool but I know Celtic fans who are very very favourable to him.

To be honest, I like to rate his Liverpool stint as preparing the team for the next level when Klopp came in. If he can do the same here before we get our ideal manager then it will have been successful.

Rodgers is doing a brilliant job with Leicester, unlucky not to get top4 last year and close again this season and the FA Cup Final, he deserves another shot at a top top club. It would be interesting to see how he would do at Barca, I would take the gamble and it would be great for me personally to have an Irish manager at the club, the second in Barca's history.

We'll probably keep Conman Koeman or hire his Spanish equivalent in Roberto Martinez
Night and day those 2. While not being a tactical genius, Martinez did wonders for the Belgium NT.
He plays very attacking all the time, adjusts his system to suit his (best) players and even thinks about the long term of the NT with his selections. All the players love him and he really puts time in his relationship with them.

If he should be considered for Barca is something else but he nothing like Koeman at all.

"Xavi, Garcia Pimienta and Ten Hag [who is slightly complicated since he renewed at Ajax] are among the options at the club *if* Ronald Koeman doesn’t continue next season."

I would be elated if we get Ten Hag, but don't see it happening.

The first 2 are a joke to be considered atm for 1st team coach.
Ten Haag would be fantastic, he can re-unite with Schreuder again and work wonders.
But, it will still be ungrateful to Koeman to kick him out after his work this season.
I would keep Koeman for 1 more season, and talk to Ten Haag to join next summer (2022)

I like Rogers and Leicester alot. A great example of how to build a solid squad with smart transfers and good management.
I've said it before the amigos need to be purged - violently. Laporta has again made the same mistake as Barto treating them as "legends" and trying to give them a soft landing. Except for Messi the rest need to be booted out unceremoniously. It's hilarious when Pique calls for "respect". He has no respect for the club or himself. After last season he should have packed his bags and gone to MLS. The man is a fraud player wise and character wise. And Laporta indulges this fraud.
Get rid of these shits and then hire a world class manager.

Koeward? what are you, 12?

Don't fancy him staying, but don't see good options to replace him either.

Out da box question but can't we setup a triumvirate with Schreuder, Koe and 10H being co-co-coaches with the latter making the final calls and this way, Koe gets to save face or is there some rule against that?

If not, can also upgrade Mr Clean to 1st class Chief Cochise and downgrade Koe to assistant coach

o' just go with Captain Rodgers. Bring the good'o luck o' the Irish 4-leaf clover greens for our garden gnomes. He's also the man to extrrract the remaining quintessential magic from our red beard leprechaun :red beard:

Christ on a bike! we'd be sucking the diesel in no'o tiaiime

I also like tuctuc but he can be too huggie-huggie at times

Sometimes I think people confuse Xavi with fucking Gai Assulin.

Guy worked with all sorts of managers, had an illustrious career being the brain of the best side of all time, and is one of the most gifted thinkers the game has ever seen.

Xavi is about the best bet you can make for a manager with little experience. It's either him, or an expert tier 1 name like Pep, Klopp, or more recently Tuchel.

Same thing could be said about Pirlo and look where Juve are at.

Enough of this Barca DNA former club player bullshit. The club should for once hire someone with experience and who has some good performances to show. Klopp and Tuchel are not available, but Ten Haag for example has been doing an awesome job at Ajax in the league and CL while Xavi, the guy Laporta apparently jerks off to hasnt done anything special in Qatar out of all countries. He should go to a team like Sociedad, Bilbao or Villareal first and not straight to Barca.

Is Xavi an idiot driven only by money? Why not take over a medium European side. Why would he renew in Qatar?

Why would he do that? Like seriously.
If you are his agent, would you recommend him doing that? Making him risk his reputation when he kniws he will get Barca job one way or another?

And tbf, the likes of Xavi and Pep before him work the best when they have one of the top squads in their leagues, in order to implement their ideas. If he goes to Eurooe it would be stupid to go to midtable club , and no team competing for titles will hire him from Qatar right out except Barca.

Xavi is the man. Listen to his interviews, man has such a deep understanding of possession game it's like listening to Carl Sagan talking about stars. Take a leap of faith here, and go with Xavi for a couple of years.

I can take a leap of faith with Xavi, I can't take a leap of faith with Xavi wbile Busquets/Alba/Pique are here.
Xavi will be burned with current squad, if he is indeed a good manager then big chance we will waste his career if he comes too early.
