Contract terms courtesy of the criminal that is Bartomeu makes it prohibitive to fire him but I have had no reason to believe we can expect/hope for better with him. He's not even Everton level, let that sink in

Now even without Leo you'd think he'd stop playing it safe & pragmatic but leopard & spots - we wait for Xavi

Nope.

Could have spent on what Aguero is getting and put it towards punting Koeman.

Who would you get? I am very curious. I believe there are two world-class managers that are available for top teams. There is Zidane, well he is not an option for us, and there is also Conte. He is a tough person to deal with, but I think he would help us get better.

Conte is a "my way or the highway" type of guy, he won't accept being in Barca under our own terms which is basically "we are broke, deal with it"
He left Inter because of it.
Heck, even Xavi said he turned down Barca before.
The market was awful for us, and we aren't a good opportunity for good coaches anyway. Only the Koeman level of coaches were there

+1 a very demanding manager.

I like Conte but he is a total control freak and a diva.
He wants every wish of his fulfilled and if it isn't he sulks and bitches. He is probably waiting on PSG job but even they won't be able to please every whim of his.

Laporta is pretty smart. He knows the footballing landscape has changed. He'll try and keep us competitive in liga but even he knows cl is impossible. Also there are no world class managers available. If he sacks Koeman I think he will go for Blanc.
It's not that Bar?a are weak, la liga is too. I think this is the weakest La Liga has been since I started supporting Barca back in 89. IF I'm wrong correct me. It simply isn't an attractive proposition for the best players. Alot of young South American talent are looking at the epl nowadays.

The seniors are finished. Instead of getting stronger and improving their physical condition they've become softer. It's possible for them to play against the weaker sides but they always get exposed playing stronger sides.
The younger players will only get better if they play more. Also we can then sort out who is good enough and who isn't.
This isn't a short term process, we have to be in it for the long run.
The glory days are over.

The unknown factor is the level at which this Barca team will drop to. Koeman carries on whilst one and all wait to see.

The only 2 things I can critisize him for is that he didn't find a solution to a high-pressing Bilbao and not starting Araujo.

Other than that Koeman is a poor guy. Braithwaite is Braithwaite and Griezmann was invisible. His bench options for them were young and yet-to-debut Demir and Rey Manaj. Things should get better, because some "better" players are injured. None of them are world-beaters either, but yesterday's attacking options were just bad for a club of that pedigree. And this is not a critique towards young and unproven Demir. San Mames is one of the hardest grounds for your debut.

That is a big deal though. If any team can press you and you just don't have an answer other than wait for the 60-70th minute for their legs to go (while hoping you're still in the game by that point), you're not really top manager material.

Nonsense

Comparing Inter to Barca is at the level of trolling

Xavi only turned down Barca for political reasons, he'd coach for free
