HOEman trying to get himself fired before the Bayern game.

Kinda like that he called out Lyin' Laporta though. Top stuff.

I just see it as two gigantic egos having a back and forth, neither of them are particularly covering themselves in glory at the minute.

Not surprising really. But what can Laporta do about it apart from kicking him to the curb as he has long wanted to and paying him through the nose via the poison pill contract signed by Bartomeu or waiting until June

Koeman is trolling Puig, the club & Laporta

Renewal? He's daring Joan to fire and pay him off sooner rather than crashing & burning in all competitions

I really hate Koeman but I also recognise no sane person could expect any manager to challenge for LaLiga or CL with this squad. Chelsea?? They have so many brilliant, young players and world-class players too. Mendy, Mount, Chilwell, Kante, Jorginho, Lukaku, Havertz, etc... And players like Ziyech, Hudson Odoi, Kovavic, Saul and Werner as depth... I mean there's no comparison. We start guys like Braithwaite, Mingueza, Luuk De Jong who wouldn't even make their first-team.

Laporta and Koeman are both egotistical clowns having their own little war.

Puig obsession rears its head again.

Koeman is not 'trolling' Puig. He doesnt think enough of him as a player to spend time even doing that.

Koeman is answering back at a President that has done nothing but undermine him since day one and constantly played the politician.

Signing a coach on a two year contract is not some 'poison pill contract' stop speaking shite.

Koeman should not have talked like that, irrespective of whether Laporta believes or not in him
Besides, Laporta never disrespected Koeman publicly
What happened privately is another question

Of course Koeman is pissed. They've let Messi (for known and reasonable reasons) go and loaned Griezmann back to Atletico on the last day of the transfer market with no time to get a decent replacement. Not really a fan of the French but it is just bad business from a sporting perspective if you have already a thin squad up front because of some longer injuries. Koeman has been asking for another striker before it was even known that Griezmann will leave.

Now there is a game against Bayern tomorrow and the only fit striker he has in his squad is Memphis. The rest are some unproven youngsters who haven't ye played on this stage and Coutinho who is coming back from a serious injury without match practice. If Barca loses (by a big margin), Koeman will be the one held responsible for it although the squad is lacking depth with so many injured and reconvalscent players.

Koeman has gotten two dutch forwards that he wanted and one dutch full back that he wanted.
He is very lucky to still be in charge after leading the team to its worst season since Rijkaard. It is unbelievable to hear him pat himself on the head for "giving a chance to youngsters"

'Worst season since Rijkaard' with the worst squad. With Messi wanting to leave. Hangover of 8-2. No real money to sign players and having to rely on younger players.

Of course he will pat himself on back for playing youngsters as he has done it and developed more than one of them which will benefit Barca long after Koeman is gone.

The downside of him is still basing too much of team on shite like Busquets and Pique who have no future.

Luuk De Jong is hardly 'giving him what he wanted' it is a cheap signing that in normal circumstances Barca would be nowhere near and Koeman would never want. When the options they have left him with is shite like Braithwaite and injury prone players like Aguero then scrape barrel to get in a player at bottom of a budget list.

Yeah, Luuk De Jong surely was his first option in knowledge that Griezmann will leave too.

It was not his last option either.
And yes he surely wanted Griezmann to stay, but there are limits to what the coach can be allowed to decide.

"Playing youngsters" is what it is, Pjanic is the only older player he didn't play every chance he got. It is good that he played Busquets and Pique a lot like every other manager would, but it's not so good that he didn't find a way to use Puig, Trincao, Konrad, Collado, Firpo or Alena more.

Pedri, Araujo, Mingueza, Ilaix all given a lot of chances and chosen ahead of older players at times... but list all the players that are not good enough and moan about them.

Koeman relied on young players a lot when had other options.

De Jong was one of few players available as own club didnt want him. Zero chance he would be player Koeman/Barca would be anywhere near looking at if had options.

Koeman is getting a taste of his own medicine from Laporta, that is the type of shit he did to several players at every club he's managed. Glad he might understand how it feels to treat ur staff like shit. No smoke without fire!
