Samuel Umtiti

Btw Dr Ricard Pruna was the one advising the club against renewing Umtiti's contract for a high salary because of his knee.

Imagine the shitstorm in the fanbase if the club would've let him go to United for his release clause with his impressive performances back then. Hindsight would've proven most of us wrong and Pruna right.

Good that he is back at the club.

That's what you get with a weak president.

Should've never had that low of a release clause anyway, him being able to pressure the club into that fat contract was the beginning of this whole shitshow.

Of course the injury was what turned it into a full disaster, but it wouldn't have been such a big problem if the club didn't rush his extension + pay rise because of the low clause.

Rumours of Dembele taking a pay cut while Umtiti insists on the same amount sends all the wrong signals about his motivation in football. He probably knows his high profile career is over by now because of the injuries and will never get this amount of money anywhere else. Just milking the rest of his contract.

Dembele is only taking a cut because his contract ended and he has to

Umtiti played Barto the clown like a fiddle. Imagine being played like that by a bum like Umtiti and his brother.

And on the other side, you have Florentino Perez who didn't flinch when fecking Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the world's best players at the time and one of Madrid's biggest all-time superstars, tried to earn bigger money. Let him go just like that.

Perez was played by Bale too, it happens.
Umtiti was Robert Fernandez mistake, he was signed as a CB without much hype from Lyon, why 4 years contract and low buyout?
Bartou is also to blame, he hired Fernandez and accepted Umtiti brother demands

Can?t we sell him to a team in Quatar or something? They pay a lot too and he could actually play some games here and there.

Come on, Bale scored 3 key goals in 2 CL finals for Madrid. Uncomparable.

Umtiti got extended while proving jack shit. The same season he was supposed to be this world-class CB he had the disaster class vs Roma. He simply played us based on this "great potential" of his, and when it was time to deliver the goods he took a long paid vacation.

Newcastle United are lining up a move for France centre-back Samuel Umtiti, with Barcelona keen to offload the 28-year-old. (Marca)
