Guillem Balague doesn't know shit about what's going on in Barcelona, let alone Brazil. Balague is an anti-Barcelona journalist, it's politics. Media in Brazil have almost unanimously said that 25-28 mil is the entire fee. Plus the two friendlies.

EDIT: maybe saying he's anti-Barcelona is a bit too much, but anyways, he's not an insider and he knows less then the fellas in Brazil

Quite an aggressive attitude to Balague I see :D

He did break the news that we had the pre-agreement

From what I understand, Barca reportedly agreed to pay Santos and those partners around €28m, plus a further €30m to the player and close to €9m in agents' fees. A down payment of €10m had already been made in January 2011. Neymar will sign a five-year contract on a salary of €7m a season. In total, that means the package is worth more than €100m.

For me Balague's highlights of past season are reporting that Benitez to Chelsea won't definitely happen, as Rafa is half-way around the globe on other business and similar thing with Pep and Bayern. Both hours before deal was published and both after a year of work to try make it look like he's close to the coach in question. Still following him on twitter though, as him stumbling over his feet trying to look well connected is good entertainment.

Which is a significant highlight since the only time he actually was decent with 'insider' info was when Benitez was actually at Liverpool - so if he can't get it right with the only person he ever did get it right, then he's really of no consequence.

He's a horrible journalist though. Last example: he said Rafa wanted to join Madrid or PSG so wouldn't join Napoli. 2-3 hours later he joins Napoli...

If that's true Rosell deserves to be sued

And you know this because...?

According to most Brazilian sources (which seem to be the most reliable) the fee was 25-28m plus two friendlies.

Rosell is a lot of things, but the price he paid for Neymar wasn't bad at all.

Neymar is a marketing goldmine, I have no doubts we will get our money back and then some. I love the move for the club from every angle.
