The midfielder of Barça B, Sergi Samper, is the footballer who gave more passes in Second Division.
Samper gave 235 good passes in 2 matches and he is leading the classification in this field ahead the second classificate by more than 30 passes, the footballer of Valladolid, Jesús Rueda (200). Eusebio Sacristán's team is not the team which passed more times (1.684 passes). Currently the first classificate are C.A. Osasuna (1.708).
If Ivan Rakitic leads the classification of good passes in the First Division and is the playmaker of Barça game, Sergi Samper is the man who leads the youth team.

Wenger's best shot to steal him was when they poached Toral & Bellerin, if Samper's best friend couldn't entice him then I don't feel this will be an issue...It's clear the player looks to thrive at his home club

He already has played a full season with Barca B. What we're putting him through now is more or less just biding time.
If he was a little older he'd be promotion ready without question. Upon promotion I believe he'll be the first player to ever play at Barca at every single level.

Last season they were mindfull not to play him too much. Most of the time he started he came off or he started on bench probably not to protect him physically and give him best chance to learn. It is a tough thing to play in midfield at that level aged 18 and very physically demanding.
Samper proved last year when he was on the pitch he was good enough but there is still more for him to learn and show this year.
He needs to show that hes up to it physically week in week out and become one of the undoubted leaders of the team.
At least that will stop Wenger getting any ideas.
