Young and talented players don't necessarily want to sign for a club knowing they'll sit on the bench for at least 50% of the games while Busquets plays.

Please, if we can't sell the idea of learning (at worst) a year under Busquets to a young and talented DM (like F. Diaz) we are worthless.

If Busi leaving is the final push for Alba as well I would be pretty happy. While Busquets is sportingly not worthless, Alba (pretty much) is.

He will still take his 20m in deferred wages though.

He knows how much club want him off books. Wouldnt be surprised if he wants the deferral plus some of salary due this next season.

You could sell the idea to F. Diaz, but he would probably join regardless.

I was thinking about other young DMs that are more established but also cost a lot more tbh.

Eric Garcia will be playing for Girona within two years. He's got a lot of Busquets's weaknesses without any of his strengths lol.

He is the best passer in this squad by a country mile
OK, lot more things needed for a DM, but let's not rush into premature conclusions.
Seems to me that all his weaknesses as CB are hidden in the DM position
