Yeah, him and Xavi did uncharacteristically poorly.
I think Messi's absence had a psychological impact on the team. Him coming on really lifted the team's morale IMO.
And this is why im not a fan of stats. They say xavi completed 96/96 passes but from what i saw with my eyes he looked slower when running and lacking a bit of mobility that gives him the edge over opponents.
He had a horrible game. Caught in possession on numerous occasions and did not handle to pace of PSG on the counter at all. He has a such a good season and its worrying that he's hitting a run of bad form at the business end of the season.
Not really - besides the goal. Barca were attacking for a few mins and then fell back into the same story of losing possession and being susceptible on the counter....
