The lack of defensive work is rather new, in our glory days both Xavi and Iniesta worked their asses off, but yesterday they were traffic cones along with Cesc, and add to that the we play without a RB... Busi was a victim of this and ended up having to cover the whole midfield by himself and having a poor match because of that...

no, we didn't give the ball up as easily in those prime days, we took much better care of it and our midfielders defended better.

Yeah, you can only play a high line if the midfield press the ball.

Better defense, midfielders feel more comfortable defending. But yeah we were way quicker, one touch passing was always on. Now everyone drags with the ball for a few seconds then makes slow passes sideways. Busi himself has suffered with not being able to do his one touch magic.
