Spanish FA, FC Barcelona sanctioned for international transfers of minors

The rules in the UK are different. They can sign EU youth players on a professional contract at the age of 15, in Spain it is 16, which is why we have the fall out with the British clubs nicking our youngsters.

As far as I know Adekanye himself moved back to Holland this year. Reports say he's playing for Dutch amateur club Alphense Boys.
That was just for the summer, spending his vacation with the family. He kept his condition up at Alphense Boys, the first club he played for. As soon as the season started he went back to Barcelona.

We broke the rules signing NON-EU players, who were signed under the age of 18. Fair enough if we broke the rules. Ter Stegen's move wouldn't be allowed to go through as we would not be able to register the player to play in La Liga. I am not even sure that we would be able to resign Valdes, unless we do that before his current contract runs out.

Worst case senario is that we have to live with Pinto in goal and the same defence as this year. Funnily enough this might motivate the squad, giving them that siege mentality that Jose is so keen on.

It looks like FIFA have got sick of us winning! Sour grapes.
Barcelona also broke the rules for EU players. Theo Chendri and Bobby Adekanye were not 16 when they moved to Barcelona.

Is it possible to cancel FIFA's decision when we undo the signings? Well, I can't imagine but would be nice if someone here has any knowledge about this.

People hoping that the board will resign will get disappointed IMO. I can't see new elections though I'd love to have them.

Overall summary thus far:

Fuck.

Then why do the FIFA rules explicitly state this:
The transfer takes place within the territory of the European Union
(EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) and the player is aged between
16 and 18.

It does not make sense because Great-Britain is a member of the EU and why would England have different rules? The FIFA regulations should overrule those.

Shit keeps getting worst every week, scandals injuries, bad results... this is a proper shake for the club, i hope the players can focus on whats at stake until this issue is hopefully resolved in a positive manner.

They didn't move all the families to Spain.... Seung Woo Lee his parents for example still live in Korea.

Adekanye his parents still live in Holland too.

Were those players transfers and/or did they sign youth contracts? Illegalities stem from transfers and signing of international players under 18. As far as I know, there no illegality for the player moving to Barcelona and enrolling in La Masia school without a contract or a transfer fee being exchanged.
At this point he is just going to La Masia to study and play football. There is no contract and no ties to the club. The player is free to go as he pleases.

This is the problem with these rules. They are poorly structure and there are plenty of loopholes to exploit and team's all over the world do in fact exploit them.

Now, there can still be a case where Barcelona got sloppy and made mistakes.

1) they don't steal, in the end the players decide
2) if you don't get the difference between a eu player, should i make a list, and a non eu player then that's your problem
3) The rules are known, if you break them you get punished

Signing a EU player aged under 16 is still illegal. Xavi Pleguezuelo was 9yo when Arsenal nabbed him from La Masia. Seems illegal to me, but it wasn't Barca who did it, so it's no problem...
