Spanish FA, FC Barcelona sanctioned for international transfers of minors

Amongst the many comments left by MD readers on their site. One suggested asking our players to threaten boycotting FIFA's premier summer event, in order to put pressure on the governing body, if the TB is indeed upheld. Now the prob for this board is that they 've lost player's confidence, to ask their favour. I'm certain even their very own golden boy would reject such an idea.

It's a nice idea but it's asking far too much of the players.

The fate of the club right now and the image and brand is in the hands of the socios. They need to call for fresh elections and remove this incompetent board. How much worse can it get ?

The rules only apply to barcelona?

That's a whole other argument that depends on whether it's true or not that other clubs are being investigated, and what comes of that. It certainly is ridiculous if we end up being the only ones investigated/punished, and the way FIFA operates I can't say it would surprise me. But regardless, if it says in writing not to do something, you can't do it & justify it by saying that other clubs are doing it without being punished. Nor can you assume you're an exception just because you think you should be. The board shouldn't be acting like 8 year olds in a schoolyard.

They shouldn't, but bartomeu still cannot ask to be above them. His excuses were pathetic.

His statements are just an indicator of how unfit he is for the post that he currently holds. Are there any socios on the forum ?. Can someone explain the process involved in moving a motion of no confidence in the current president and board.

What is really making me even more sick with all this, is that they knew about this ban being possible since last year. And they did nothing... Not even signed players as precaution. And all this started in 2011, when maxi rolon was suspended. And this board kept signing foreign players, ignoring the rules completely. These guys need to go.

jairzinho, now it takes at least 15% of socios to start the vote of no confidence. It used to be 5%, rosell changed that.

MD just published a piece on how the board suspects all this is coming from rm, because they have a lot of reasons to try to destabilize Barça. And I am sure it is, too much stuff happening at once. But they're the ones who put the club in this position. Had they followed the freaking rules, this wouldn't be happening. They can't try to place the blame elsewhere, and still it seems this is the path they'll take.

These crooks are ruining everything.

How I wish laporta comes back. He may not be a saint but he cared about the club

Unfortunately, this goes back to when he was president too. However, he & his board were still miles ahead of Rosell. As you said, he cared about Barca. He treated it like a football club & not a business, which always wins points in my book. Would love to see him back.

If you follow Laporta on Twitter, you'll see that he defended Barca's La Masia transfer-policy 100% in the last few days. Laporta is "guilty" in this too, this stuff has been ongoing since 2009.

I Bartra,Tello, Montoya, Cuenca, Bojan, Thiago, Deulofeu, Rafinha,Soriano, Crosas... I Guardiola, Amor, Xapi, Sergi, Òscar, Roger, Gerard...

Al FCBarcelona només conec una manera de ser millors i més forts davant les adversitats: la recerca permanent de l'excel.lència.
