Spanish FA, FC Barcelona sanctioned for international transfers of minors

There surely are, the Angola kid that got mentioned some pages ago, and also an American 9-year-old. There'll be plenty of other examples no doubt.

Then RM ''should be'' at danger too, I doubt it with FIFA though.

It could be Espanyol you know, as we nick all their best youngsters annually. There are lots of other clubs who could have alerted the FIFA, Valencia and RM are just the most obvious ones.

So? When you run someone over with your car it's the fault of the guy who called the police? Just follow the rules and there won't be problems. It is clear since at least February 2013 that Fifa was investigating this. Rosell's self-righteous and arrogant reply was: "I propose to change the rules." lolwhat?!
Yeah, but what should Sandro have said instead? "No problem, we are totally OK with your law, and we'll immediately ship back our top-talents like Lee etc. to their home-country now?"

It's not only Sandro/Bartomeu who have been defending La Masia's youth-policy. As you know, Laporta has been very vocal on Twitter about this too in recent days, defending the concept of La Masia.

Do you have a quote for that? I don't remember reading that in the press-conference yesterday ;)

"We were speaking on telephone, writing official letters; there was always contact with FIFA. We're fairly surprised that [FIFA] refused something that was for the benefit of football. We did know that there was a possibility of the suspension, but they took over 4 months to inform us."

You know you are in trouble, when one of your own Caces, goes and complains about the Neymar transfer. As I said previously, there is more to this than meets the eye. Fifa cannot ban Barcelona, for something which probably most clubs are guilty of these days. It's an incredible decision, but Imo we are being made an example of to the satisfaction of somebody who wants to see the club fail.

Only one thing to do now, win the treble and give a big middle finger to those who are looking at this with a big grin on their face

Also this is a whole new level of incompetency. Bartomeu said that they KNEW a ban like this could happen. And yet they didn't precautiounary invest in defenders. Nevermind that it was a big need for years. It looks like the board is actually welcoming and has provoced this ban so they can save money for their new Camp Qatar. They don't even need excuses now for not investing in the squad.

It's just tremendous to know that these idiots are supposed to run the club for several years later, if there's no election ofc.

I can't see the treble happening...the liga and Copa Del Rey would be enough and these are at least reachable at the moment

To be honest I think we will find a way around this. Anyone who knows the law knows its very elastic especially if you have the right lawyers.

That's true, but don't forget that the Barcelona members with voting right are very conservative. They'd rather vote for a crook like Rosell with a history at the club than for a completely new person who would do with Barcelona what Pep did with the team.

Plus him changing membership rules helped consolidate the voter base in favor of a more conservative majority...The only thing I didn't quite envisioning with a crook like Rosell & his board would be how inept they'd ultimately turn out to be...I thought even the sly-est corporate thugs they are would make them equally capable to handle whatever adversity they'd ultimately face...To think they started out with color toner, that was probably the first clue of what we'd come to learn and expect from this lot

I actually never really followed Rosell's politics or platform before he was elected. I'm not a soci so I couldn't vote, and back then I didn't have as much of an interest in the non-sporting aspects of football. So I largely ignored the whole election process other than knowing there was some guy who had an overwhelming amount of support, and it seemed like there were mixed feelings about him on the forum.

What the hell did he do to convince so many people to vote for him, when he apparently had a well-known history of being the way he turned out to be? His first strike for me was closing/restricting membership, now it's only gone downhill from there.
