If you use daily metric system, inches leave more to imagination(lack of calculation brain)which is probably a good thing.

We technically do use the metric system a lot. We kinda flit between them.

Like officially we use metric, but we talk in stones and pounds rather than kg a lot, and mile rather than metres etc.
