True.It doesn't have to be narcissism. Every lifeform has it by default. Even tinies vegetation will seek light of sun by circumventing all kind of obstacles, let alone animals and mammals.
Probably a daft question, but has anyone ever came up with a concrete idea why we have survival instinct? Or is it just plain common sense? When confronted with danger or death, we wanna escape and live.
I guess nobody wants their existence to end, human or animal or bacteria, so we do everything in our power to keep it going. It's just biology really. So we can be alive to continue our genes, too.
