Don, what chance this summer? We have very little money left and look at that list that is making the rounds, meh.

We still have :braida: on our payroll, right? The embodiment of our scouting department and the good work of Robert. What a joke.

Don't worry, we'll sign the GOAT Bellerin. His ugly asf hair will lead us to the promised land!

That is precisely the problem.

We're going for the wrong targets or when we actually go for the good ones, we don't manage to land them. The only one we've actually managed to sign is Umtiti.

They've managed to sign Asensio, Isco, Vallejo, Varane

We have signed whom? Neymar? Ok that settles it then. Among that we have the likes of Douglas, Verminator, Gomes now and Denis and Rafinha who are neither centre midfielders or proper wingers.

Just admit it, our transfer strategy has been awful. Just because we have MSN and a golden core, doesn't forgive the stupid business we've made. We've been lucky that golden core have been hiding all the mishaps.

That said, a chance for them to redeem themselves this summer, but I'm not very optimistic.

Who cares if Dybala and Dembele are Barca fans? Just like Modric and Isco, they will move elsewhere if we don't try to sign them. Dybala already at a top club in Juve.

Being Barca fans have nothing to do with anything. Players will take the chance to move to any big club that want to sign them.

I have quoted a certain part and I replied to it,it is about them having advantage b/c players are fan of them.

As for transfer policy I never claimed it is gr8,although I think people need to look around them to know about bad transfers, most of clubs are doing far worse than us. The squad that won treble and then double had 8 of its starting 11 bought from other clubs, just saying.

Edit: And i isn't like signing Theo even made sense, never mind it is an AS rumor that he had medical.
Oh,and if we are gonna complain about losing talents from Spain then better stop complaining about loaning players in Liga, because it is the best way to establish relation with Liga clubs to get favors

We have to be held up by high standards though, not just being contend with most other clubs having bad transfers as well. And we are talking about recent transfers not the distant ones such as Masch, Dani and Alba etc. I mean I am grateful that we got Neymar, Suarez, Rakitic, Umtiti and Marlon, but the ones we missed out were just so many.

They have their hands on some of the best domestic Spanish talent (U- NT level players) such as Jesús Vallejo, Borja Mayoral and Marcos Llorente etc. in different positions. Of course, there is no guarantee that they will all succeed later but at least on paper, Real Madrid has much better depth and players reserved for the future.

Youth NT players mean basically nothing. Deulofeu and Jese at one point were the epitome of dominance on those levels. The likes of Cristian Tello and Iker Muniain and Illaramendi and even Marc Bartra were right there next to Thiago and Isco when they were winning world cup/euros with the youth teams.

Good signing for Madrid. I like Theo as a player but didn't want him here after what he did to Vidal. Also, with Alba and Digne already here and with us having other priorities on the transfermarket I never believed we'll go after Theo this summer. Yes, we were trying to sign him last year before we got Digne but I believe our interest at this time was just pure speculation from Catalan media after it was clear he prefers to stay in Madrid. Probably some rumours were also coming from Atletico's camp because they'd prefer to sell him to us than Madrid but they can't do anything if Theo has decided to go to RM and they are willing to pay his release clause.

We also reportedly lost out on that new Brazilian wunderkind (his name starts with a V something).

Vinicius Jr.

I'm happy they beat us to sign him. We apparently offered 25M and they'll pay more than 40M. Not worth the risk IMO. Also we don't need another suspicious transfer from Brazilian league after all troubles we've gone through with Neymar. While kid is talented he's nowhere near as proven as Neymar was when we signed him and he could easily turn out to be next Robinho instead of next Neymar.

True, but again on paper it looks promising at least. Who do we have in 3-5 years? Mostly La Masia players promoted or do you see we will scramble to throw a ton of cash to buy established players?

Totally agree, our moves on the transfer market are just stupid. If you believe the rumours, the stupid moves will continue. We will sign second-class ex-La Masia player Deulofeu instead of going for first class ex-La Masia talent Keita Baldé before he signs for a big club and gets very expensive. Pathetic stuff once more.

Keita Balde will most likely sign with Sevilla.

And from what I've read he rejected to return to Barça so not much we can do. Also, he's not really that much better than Deulofeu.

Well, they bought Robinho for 25M and sold him to City for more than 40M. Could have been worse. :crbust:

RM fans have been saying same thing for years, hell almost probably until one or two years ago many in their forums were saying same thing. I have seen a lot of RM complaining about signing Kroos over Rakitic for over a year. It isn't like they are perfect team in their signings either. and it took many of their players years to develop too.

I am not saying we should be content,I am not saying don't fix things. But the forum has been acting like we are fuckin Inter or something in this past months.
This is probably the best RM side we have seen, and they are just 3 points ahead of us with a team suffering from a coach staying more than he should, they are hungry as fuck to win Liga as non of them have won it since 2012 or even ever. We had lost only 8 points since 17th week. Yet it is all we are fucked,we are doomed. etc.

And btw,RM has waited a lot on Isco to be good player for them, same for Casameiro and to less extent Kovacic.
Fans here already want to sell Paco even though he was one of Spain top talent and already drastically improving through the season with limited time,Gomes has been absolutely shit but he has showed ton of potential at Valencia specially in 14/15 season. But if-god forbid any of us asked to be patient about those players people would laugh at him. Yet they praise RM signings and long term insight.

Give me a break man, people are ranting in every opportunity,if we are rumored to sign Theo people are angry on our board we are going after a player we don't need,if he sign elsewhere people are angry we didn't,if we lose they are angry(only understandable part) ,if we won they are angry it isn't a gr8 show and if RM win they are angry on board too.

I think it will be a mix. We have Alena coming through who honestly looks to be a special talent like the ones from the Riijkard's golden generation and then we have the likes of Samper, Palencia, Mboula, Marlon, etc. who could potentially make the step up and reinforce the squad in the years to come. Keep in mind we are Barca, even if the future doesn't always pan out our future will always look the most promising on a grand level, we as fans are just more conditioned to know better because, well, our future always looks more promising.

Can't say I really care all that much that he is going to Madrid.

LB is not a position we need to focus on. There are other areas that are in dire need.

Such a shame...

Theo would've got a much bigger chance to become a starter ahead of Alba rather than Marcelo (who is the best LB in the world without doubt).
