Theo Hernandez

He's considered one of the best young LB prospects out there. we wanted him a year ago as well but we decided to buy Digne instead as he had more experience.

I still dont understand why he wants to leave Atleti in the first place. Second of all, what do we even need a third lb for? We dont even have a single actual rb. Thirdly, if a new lb is needed it should be Grimaldo and not this fuckin guy.

He wants to leave Atletico, due to uncertainty under Simeone. there's rumors he and Simeone didn't see eye to eye and he's decided to leave.

Second point there's a chance either Alba or Digne requested to leave and something happened behind the scenes we don't know about and it's a perfect chance to grab up Theo to replace either of them.

Third point I think the Sporting department rates guys like Mendy and Theo higher than Grimaldo. we have been linked with several LB's lately and Grimaldo, isn't mentioned in any of the lists.

He would face competition both with us and at Real Madrid. Both Alba and Marcelo are 28, and he probably has a slightly better chance to play with us. It has been reported that he does like Real Madrid better so it the end it could be either money or his heart that wins.

Had a medical with Real Madrid.

Looks like we're going to lose out on every top talent within Spain to them.

From Isco to Asensio to Theo now.

They're hoarding up talent and planning big time for the future. From Coentrao to Theo Hernandez for LB depth now. Another significant upgrade hah

But but... we got Samper who ain't even good enough for Granada's bench.

Theo is a hardcore Madridista from what I can tell, it's no surprise to see him going to them over us. We had Grimaldo who was just as big a talent if not bigger and we let him go without even getting a debut. Cucu should hopefully be renewing and joining the B team next season so maybe we can develop him into a first team quality player in the next year or two. This is a problem we have created for ourselves.

I wouldn't say Madrid are doing that much better with signing young talents. They got Isco and Asensio and Theo, but we did snag players like Umtiti and Mats, and while Gomes was a pretty shit signing overall, we did manage to get him away from Madrid, unfortunately

But we still have Alena coming through and Samper even despite his wasted year at Granada (It actually costs them money to play him and their relegation was almost certain, kind of hard to say he's just "Not good enough" for Granada while thinking logically) can still give our midfield a boost of some sort. Deulofeu should be returning this summer to finally give us a competent backup for our front line as well as a potential player for the future and if reports are to be believed we're likely going to pull Davinson Sanchez over to our side this summer as well.

Just saying, things don't look as bleak if you don't focus entirely on Madrid and their success.

Gotta commend him for following his heart, since allegedly we offered him more money.

Years of bad planning, lack of vision, incorrect judgment and indecisiveness got us here. We also reportedly lost out on that new Brazilian wunderkind (his name starts with a V something). I am starting to think despite our success in the last 15 years or so and the Messi factor, we are still lagging behind Real Madrid in terms of prestige and brand power as I am seeing more players and even coaches impressing the desire to join Real Madrid than us. Of course, most players would not turn down more money and an offer from us even if we were not the desired destination but heart plays a role sometimes like in this case.

Prepare for years of Real Madrid enjoying the upper hand over us once the cream of the crop players of ours like Messi, Iniesta, Busquets etc getting old and retired.

They have their hands on some of the best domestic Spanish talent (U- NT level players) such as Jesús Vallejo, Borja Mayoral and Marcos Llorente etc. in different positions. Of course, there is no guarantee that they will all succeed later but at least on paper, Real Madrid has much better depth and players reserved for the future.

Let's get serious here,we have actually beaten RM for Asensio but we backed down. Isco was Barca fan who hated RM and we didn't make an offer as we thought we are set in midfeild. We have beaten them for the likes of Gomes & Neymar. Dybala,Dembele along of ton other players are Barca fans.
We are gonna lose players for them as they would lose some player for us, it isn't a big deal as long as you plan your scouting well and go for the right targets

Yes, that's why I said "years of of bad planning, lack of vision, incorrect judgment and indecisiveness got us here" first and foremost. We won on Neymar and if the reports were to be believed, because Neymar was indeed more of a Barca fan. Gomes? I read that Real Madrid wasn't really going after him. Dybala a Barca fan? Really?

Good planning is more important than anything else, I concur.

That is precisely the problem.

We're going for the wrong targets or when we actually go for the good ones, we don't manage to land them. The only one we've actually managed to sign is Umtiti.

They've managed to sign Asensio, Isco, Vallejo, Varane

We have signed whom? Neymar? Ok that settles it then. Among that we have the likes of Douglas, Verminator, Gomes now and Denis and Rafinha who are neither centre midfielders or proper wingers.

Just admit it, our transfer strategy has been awful. Just because we have MSN and a golden core, doesn't forgive the stupid business we've made. We've been lucky that golden core have been hiding all the mishaps.

That said, a chance for them to redeem themselves this summer, but I'm not very optimistic.

Who cares if Dybala and Dembele are Barca fans? Just like Modric and Isco, they will move elsewhere if we don't try to sign them. Dybala already at a top club in Juve.

Being Barca fans have nothing to do with anything. Players will take the chance to move to any big club that want to sign them.

Don, what chance this summer? We have very little money left and look at that list that is making the rounds, meh.

We still have :braida: on our payroll, right? The embodiment of our scouting department and the good work of Robert. What a joke.
