Thiago Silva

It's pretty ironic and more about internal paranoia than actual judgment of players abilities. Silva as a transfer is such short term thinking and it makes little sense, knee jerk reaction for people who only trust experience and reputation.

Opposing the Silva transfer is narrow minded and idealistic thinking. FC Barcelona over the next 4 seasons will have over 2 billion euros in revenue. Spending 0.04 billion or so of that on Thiago Silva in the hope that it helps the team win the Champions League is the most obvious and smartest thing the club could do.

Thiago Silva's entourage have informed Barcelona the player is willing to take a pay cut if Barcelona and PSG find a deal on a transfer [as]

So now we're taking the position that we should buy anyone just because we can? Are we going in a galactico phase now? Buy Marcos now, develop him well, and we will be better off long term than buying Silva because apparently that'll win us the CL (far from it, Bayern are way ahead right now and Juve/Madrid are on our level)

Honestly, as long as we get either Thiago Silva or Marquinhos I would be happy.

Can we get both? (I'm just being funny.)

Most of the players are still from La Masia, it's just you complement them with the best players you can buy. TS will be perfect for the next few seasons and then at that point the club can look for another CB.

won't they pay salaries, and currently our team is in top three highest salary paying club,we have a large debt,we want to expand the camp nou and within that next 4 season we will be looking for 3 or 4 cb, two of them will be world class to replace Ts(if we sign him) and pique, and majority of our team(alves, iniesta, valdes, pinto) and future replacement for messi, pedro, busquet.it will be unwise and madrid like of our team to sign TS,it is funny how madrid are now buying fairly expensive youth and we are thinking about highly expensive 28yr olds and 27 yr old(rooney),a team that had the youngest squad some years ago and trusted in youth player are now planning to build a team with player in their their prime/player that will start declining in few years time.if we buy ts,he and almost all our star player will decline together and then we will need to start rebuilding after those 4 years, just inter and acmilan how easy that is and how many years it will take to build a team that can compete with elite team.what i think to do is sign young players to replace our aging and not aging for aging: i know deep down it rosell that is behind all this deal.he just want tito to keep the seat hot for now before he get mourinho cos he know the club fans and players will be angry if he get him now.

Although silva is better than Marquinhos, Silva will give us 3 or 4 years the most at the top level while Marquinhos could give us more than 8 years at the top level. Assuming he takes at least 3 years to become one of the world's top defenders.

First we get Silva and after 3-4 years when he starts declining , we go after Marquinhos.

Problem solved :pep:

as for now most of the players are from la masia, but by the time rosell is through only few would be from la masia.who did they want to promote from la masia to first team this year? the answer is no one,how many la masia graduate in the first team are they selling?2,how la masia graduate are they loaning?4,how many la masia did they release?1,how many fresh la masia graduate will likely remain?3,will this 3 get adequate playing time?no they won't and all of them together with the loaned ones will probably leave next season because the team will buy more big names next season. The current management don't believe in la masia or even youth they want veterans.

Psg would have signed him then or any other top club,if no club sign him this year and if he perform as well or better than last season his price will increase to like maybe 60m and many big club will interested and one of them will sign him then for that price and by time ts is finish marquinhos will be in a big club and i am sure if we sign ts,psg will get marquinhos as his replacement if they don't get luiz fot halfd the price we will sign Ts.it high time we know that in football there is no guarantee and we should understand that it is possible we sign ts and win no trophy and sign marquinhos and win all the trophies.signing ts does not guarantee any trophy or madrid and bayern not beating us and u've forgotten a veteran can also have a bad season.
