Thiago Translantara

Some of you are plain biased. He had a brilliant game tonight and was their 3rd/2nd best player on the pitch. He shouldn't have been dispossessed into the last goal, but you are milking it too much. There was bad defending after the dispossession and the goal itself was offside. But that's what was gonna happen if you play someone like him right in front of the defense. Other than that, he was very very good.

Made some really good passes indeed he is still getting used to the tempo of the league etc

He wasn't nearly as bad as some people would suggest. In fact, Don Andres is right, he was among their best players. That pass for Muller's shot was absolutely brilliant. But anyway, I've been saying this for months and I'll say it again: Thiago is not even the type of player everyone keeps saying he is, the CM, the Xavi-type, the deep-lying playmaker... let alone a DM! Playing him alone in front of the back four should be a crime. His best performances will always come when he's in an attacking role with the deep midfielder(s) behind him. He's an Iniesta type of player and that's only getting clearer each season. In this sense, by the way, Barca didn't lose an heir to Xavi's throne. Neither Thiago or Fabregas are suited for that role.

Calma, calma
He had a good game today, some great moments some stupid ones.

His control and dribble for Robben's second was Messi like and that pass to Muller was Iniesta like. On the other hand, he got bullied by Lewa for Dortmund's 4th and was generally nowhere to be found when Dortmund countered.
