Considering Man City have limitless funds and can offer CL football they have made some very strange signings recently IMO. Last summer was a terrible transfer window for them - Maicon? Sinclair? Javi García? And so far this summer they have bought 2 good (but not top level) 28 year old midfielders...

He does play as a CB ... but.. I agree that we want solid CBs... I would love to see Mangala/inigo/Kompany..

He is a beast. He is a CDM though, and we don't need more midfielders, at least in my opinion.

This. Marquinhos is taller than Puyol and the same height as Silva. Both of whom are beasts in the air. And one of whom is the best CB in the world.
