I have said it several times that every time I see someone drooling over Ter Stegen, something dies inside me. A goalkeeper with only two seasons at professional level, with decline in the level of his performance through these two years. Yet you will see people rate Ter Stegen higher than Victor Valdes. That is what you get when you play a lot of Pro Evolution Soccer in my opinion.

Yeah I have personally seen it, but that doesn't make me say that he is not a good goalkeeper. Every single world class goalkeeper made such a mistake at one point in his career. Personally I don't even say that Ter Stegen won't have a good career, I only say that, a lot of posters here hype him to be Valdes' successor without an apparent reason.

I think Mathieu would be a decent replacement for Abidal. He's not a world-class defender but he's always stuck me as a gritty player. Our defense can use some toughness from time to time, especially with Puyol out so frequently.

Rami on the other hand, would be good for 10M but the club could probably do better for a new CB. He's much better than what we have right now though. I've seen him play really well at times too.

I wonder how much of a bargain they could come at if we buy both instead of just Mathieu? 14-16M?

At that price, Mangala could still be an option too.
