If Thiago leaves (I hope not)!
JDS should stay and I still have faith in him, he can play Xavi's role even better than THIAGO!
At least, JDS loves the club and he wants to stay!

If we lose Thiago, we need to go after Mata. Not the same position but it would ease the blow.

Mata's an alpha dog player, he and Messi would just be getting in each others way. All that would come from that transfer would be getting Mata at a massive price and then his output wouldn't be as much as it is at Chelsea because he wouldn't be the main focal point. Hazard complements Mata like Neymar complements Messi, but two players like Mata and Messi wouldn't complement each other.

We could definitely use another player who's trying to get his and not be so dependent on Messi. He would be perfect for the club as he's left-footed. He would be the perfect to slot in on the right, with Neymar on the left, and Messi in his usual False 9 role.

Well from a superficial view, yes Mata is perfect being a left footed right winger. However think of their in-game behaviors and you'd realize that both players take a lot to give a lot. Meaning that Messi demands a lot of the ball in order to give back to his teammates and provide goals/assists. Same deal with Mata. They can't alternate that well and one will end up suffering (obviously Mata).
