Zambrotta is full back just like winger he can't keep running even when he transfered back to Italy he never on the same level as he on Juventus anymore , many like Thuram and Maldini also started full back but at their 30s they being used more as CB, i can't answer your question i just followed La Liga closely when Ronaldinho came here

As much as I want Thiago to stay, its seems he's leaving and we should move on!
18M from selling Thiago, 12M from selling Villa! We have enough money to buy THIAGO SILVA and a Fullback etc..
I would go for:
Neymar (Tello) - Messi (Bojan) - Pedro/Alexis
Iniesta (Cesc) - Busquets (Song) - Xavi (JDS/Roberto)
Alba (Adriano) - Thiago Silva (Puyol) - Pique (Bartra) - Alves (Montoya)
Valdes (Pinto/Masip)
+ Full Back who can play as a Center Back (Vertonghen, Ivanovic, Mathieu ...) !
Deulofeu, Rafinha and Cuenca (when he recovers) on Loan!

The fact is that clubs other than Barcelona were willing to pay more for Neymar.
While none appear to be willing to pay 63m for Cavani.
Neymar will have a career that smashes Cavani's.
