It's not sad. Bartra isn't good enough to trust at this point. It's best for him as he will get a chance to get some time that he needs which Barca can't shouldn't afford a player of his level.
Were Busquets and Pedro good enough to trust at the beginning of their Barca career? We have a history of nurturing our own talents and letting them gain first team experience step by step in our own team so that they adapt to our playing style and make themselves comfortable. We've had a fair share of failures with loans, in fact I can't think of one loan in the last few years that was any good. Bojan, Romeu, Cuenca were supposed to be top talents and look where they are now.
