Amorebieta - Free in the summer. Would give the team experience, height and some bite (okay, hes prone to the odd red card)
Martinez - a young, powerful CB that would be in our team for years to come.
Getting Amorbieta free and Martinez for a reasonable fee would leave more than enough money for us to buy a world class 'Keeper (Ter Stegen).
Sadly, i suspect that we will buy Neymar and will tilt at windmills for Hummels - who we wont get - and end up with the same situation for next season.

For what its worth, Ballague on Revista said that if Barca gets Hummels, Amorebieta would then go to Dortmund, also Shalke were mentioned. There was also talk of Fulham in the EPL.

It is simply not an option to not buy a CB for next season, and Hummels is not the answer to all of your prayers. Even Ibra would outrun Hummels, how on earth people fail to see a Chygrynskiy v2.0 is just unbelievable. We play with a very high defense only leaving 2 CB's and at times Busquets to defend, 1-2 quick counter players and Hummels is worth 'nada'.

But don't get me wrong, if we didn't have Pique already and if Hummels was paired with a fast CB he would work wonders. He is the best playmaking CB out there, absolutely wonderful. But paired with Pique I fear it will not work as well. And also, Busquets drops deep to start our play from the back - how will this work out with Hummels?

Actually Hummels is a goal threat too ,he is also very good passer and in moving forward
I think both are very good options
Tbh ,I gotta agree with DonAndres ,we need 2 new CBs ,I won't mind waiting for Neymar 1 more year to make it happen
I don't think Hummels is that slow at all tbh ,And he is way better player than Chygrynskiy
And tbh ,we might need to start thinking about putting Pique on the bench more ,as I said we need 2 CBs ,Hummels might be the one replacing Pique in the starting line up ,Pique hasn't beeh his former self for some while now ,and he need to feel there is a competition
I think Hummels might be worth the risk

I think Vertoghen Transfer fee will be lower than Hummels thats one of the reasons he seems a better proposition to me.

I'd also like 2 CBs; one to replace Puyol, and one to rotate and challenge Pique for the starting spot. I think Pique'll get his shit together if that happens.
I don't think Pique needs to be benched. He just needs some competition.
