Amorebieta is nowhere near good enough for Barcelona. He makes so many mistakes in big games. He was poor in many games for Bilbao last season.

Inigo Martinez is a good player but surely Barcelona need a center back that is commanding in the air. Set pieces this season have been a real weakness, madrid alone have scored four goals from corners in six games.

All players do mistakes but he makes more than most.

Of course Barcelona need more center backs but the day they sign the likes of Amorbieta will be a desperate day. Even if he is free.

The list of defenders in europe better than him would be to long. He would struggle to be in the top twenty center backs in La Liga.

Barcelona and other top clubs dont just settle for 'who is available'.
