Transfers and Rumours - old thread

Lewandowski is in the last year of his contract, so it's obvious why there may be a transfer. Silva could leave but the reasons could involve the following:
1) High wages but missed a lot of games so PSG may decide to look for a different option.
2) New France tax regime.
3) The PSG owners may decide to downsize their plans(like happened with Malaga last season) maybe even partially because of the new tax laws. Maybe because they see the Champions League out of reach(Barca was bad enough, now Bayern look immense). Maybe also because they are looking more seriously at complying with FFP.
4) Maybe Silva wants to force a move, PSG may decide it's not worth keeping an unhappy player and the funds they receive for him can be adequately used to improve the squad.

Ranocchia: Can't get a starting place in Inter's dwindling and fumbling defense . What makes you think he'd be good here?

What? Have you watched Inter this season? He's been starting almost every match. And Gazzetta voted him as the best defender in Italy (or maybe it was only best CB, can't remember) the first half of the season, when Inter were doing better than they are now. That being said, I wouldn't necessarily want him in Barca. He still makes quite a few mistakes though a lot of that can probably be attributed to the fact that until this season he wasn't a starter. And I think mistakes like that would be even more apparent in Barca. Besides, I want Inter to hold on to the few good players they have at the moment.

I don't see any reasons for Dortmund to sell Lewandowski, but it is still happening.

They have every reason to sell him ,it is his last year in his contract

They had shown 0 signs they want to lower their wages ,I highly doubt it tbh ,other reasons is he want out and force a move? Well he would have no leverage on them ,and if they decided to sell there well be plenty of interested teams like Man City,Bayern&RM

However, do not forget that Th. Silva is the current captain of PSG, and as much as I want him to play for us, I don't see that happening if we plan to buy 3-4 or even 5 players..

Good press conference from Tito today. No specifics on transfers.

Mundo Deportivo is speculating 5 to 6 signings as some have noted here (GK, CB, 2 CM, 2 F). I disagree with their position. There is no way Barcelona signs that many first team players. The first team is already considered overbooked (given still unresolved loan situations), and the club would have to sell a whole raft of players to make way for so many new signings.

You don't see that kind of transfer action outside of coach and/or new president elections.

I think four is the absolute ceiling, and there will be significant names leaving the club just to make four.

I reckon Alexis , Villa, Valdes, Affelay, JDS, even Alex Song.

I wish Pedro too but it wont happen, and we should call Cuenca back.

How Madrids Attack might look next season. . . . .

Ronaldo - - - Cavani - - - Bale

We need 2 WC center backs ASAP!

Bale plays on the left. I doubt they're gonna get him unless Ronaldo leaves (which is very possible).

Bale has played much more central this season. He has played on the left at times but he has been predominantly given a free role behind the striker. He'd be suited to playing on the right as it would allow him to drift inside onto his left foot.

It's not impossible if you think about it. New tax laws in France, Thiago Silva is a Barca fan and don't forget that he's good friends with Dani Alves and Neymar. These are just a few reasons why he would come here. If Justin Bieber ever taught us something it was Believe and Never Say Never.

You're right, Silva coming is actually way more likely than Kompany.
