Trent Alexander-Arnold

Trent may suck at defense but he would unlock Yamals true position which is the CAM/RW just like Messi was with Dani Alves. Yamal is kinda wasted stuck on the right only. Every game he has a lot of play in the middle he is a killer.

Araujo can cover for Trent. It wont happen though so who cares

No he wouldn't. He's not some touchline winger who would held the width while Lamine goes inside like Leo and Dani did. TAA is best when inverted and deeper.

Marca reporting TAA has informed Liverpool of his desire to join RM.

If true it will make them somewhat easier to score against compared to say Carvajal. But they do become overall more dangerous.

Will have to see if this even holds up first though.

I honestly don't

Like Klopp said there, he can become a legend at Liverpool even if he drops off his average performances a little because it's his club

Whereas if he goes to Madrid or Barca people expect him to perform flawlessly at a world class level every 3-4 days. I'm not sure how ready he is for that kind of challenge.

And it's not like Liverpool is some small club so you could make the trophies excuse. If he himself wants the trophies so much then it's better to put the effort in his own club which has great players to try and win more. Currently it is in better shape than any other club in the world and with City's ruthless domination evidently coming to an end they can make a historic run in the PL.

But I guess this is not how players like him think about it. They clearly have some other things in their mind. Some things that are completely seperated from ambition, tradition, passion for the sport or love for any club. And it's understandable

I agree with everything except that it's understandable. He had the luck to be born in one of the best footballing cities, spent his whole career at his local club which is one of the biggest in the world, in one of the best leagues in the world where he plays with the best managers and players in the world while getting a huge salary and the fans love him and would make him an absolute legend if he stayed until the end. Why would he leave all that just to be another player in some club that will spit him out the second he doesn't preform. I would understand if he played for Everton but Liverpool is on top of the world, they are at least on the same level as Madrid. All the values are going to shit, I'll never understand him if he leaves.

Yeah agree with you both.

Liverpool look well-placed to do well in next 5 years ie the rest of his prime. It's no guarantee Real Madrid will do better. Other than wage why does he wanna leave that? He's loved there as one of their own and they're a great team too.

If you want to leave, sign a new contract and get a transfer fee in for the club who made you. That's the only way it can be seen as acceptable.

Home grown players should be more loyal to their clubs. How we gonna feel if Lamine leaves on a free ever, never mind in his prime at 26.

Liverpool will be okay because they have a right back who is better in big games because he can actually defend, in Conor Bradley. But that is besides the point.

Feel like he gonna be like Owen when he moved from Liverpool to RM.

I agree, not because he is not quality (he is) but because he's not some ordinary fullback that can play great in every system. He needs a very specific system that he shines, he has to have freedom, license to create from everywhere, midfielders and CBs who cover him in defence... He has all that in Liverpool but in Madrid they have bigger stars to fit in their system.

Most definitely agree with this. You see it now with the national team.

Bit of a win win for Real though as he’s a free transfer so if he can’t settle they’ll be able to ship him back to England no issue.
