Man utd has a midfield fit to walk all over the epl, but it Europe it leaves much to be desired, they didn't even look that good in a week cl group.

Bayer, juve,Madrid, durtmund, have much better mid fields, they might beats these teams on the counter. But never playing dominating the okay, well maybe Madrid , but that's it.

I can't disagree with you fully because the close results of the group stages are there for all to see. The only thing I will say though is we had a lot of injuries during that month or two, and I think this tie against Madrid will be a fairer judge of our midfield, and team as an whole tbh.

Eh? United qualified by winning their first 4 games, only team to do so i believe.

Lost their last 2 though due having qualified and putting a weakened team out, Madrid never looked good qualifying, Barcelona last season, what does the group stage matter though long as you qualify?

Hey bud. I couldn't remember my password for a while, and being far too lazy to go through the process of having it sent to my email, I became number one lurker instead, lol.

We did win the first four games, but there's no point pretending it was impressive. We got the job done, and unfortunately that's about as good as it got.

Qualifying is the most important thing obviously, but its also nice to do it in style too.

IMO Welbeck was more dangerous than him yesterday even if RVP was very hard to oversee for the young Varane . I've always dream to see a top centre forward like RVP or Rooney in our team.
Nevertheless, I thought that RVP was going to be more effective in front of the goal but he wasn't (Diego lopez was wonderful !).
Anyway, great player and happy for him to win BCL's title cause he deserves it.

Suarez overhyped? Suarez is closer to Messi than CR is. He is definitely better than RvP

The ephmerality of football. The RVP wankfest has totally died down after his scoreless run. Not so long ago he was drawing comparisons to Messi and Cristiano.
As regards the post in quote, the latter paragraph seems to hold true now
