Victor Osimhen

He's on 12.5m gross. With the Italian tax system that is a pretty high net value.

If Capology is to be believed then he is way out of sync with the rest of their cap.

I don't think he is the striker for us financially.

We could pay him Lewy or Gundy wages in theory, but with the transfer fee that's a huge amortization fee for a non franchise player.

Of course we're Barca and we need the best and not just a worse player because they are cheaper.

But how big is the gap between him and Jonathan David on a free for example?

Who says he has crazy wage demands? I mean Saudi HAVE to pay everybody crazy wages for anybody to join them and Chelsea offered him 4M which is less than half of what he makes in Napoli lol. What more reliable info is there...?
I'd like him here, but let's see. In a way we're lucky since Napoli fucked around and found out, so they might chill this time in negotiations. Probably Oshi will also chill. Another thing to take into account is that players often make shitons of cash from sponsors/ads etc and Oshi would become a much bigger star if he moves to Barca and he/we are successful = profit. And if we can offer Ansu 12M, we can surely offer Oshi 15M and I don't think anybody else would offer him that beside RM and PSG. But we'll see, some clubs might work behind the scenes to sell players in the winter to get Oshi's signature - we will most probably not be in a position to get involved until next summer window. We would also have to start working on Lewa situation, we simply can't have a 38 year old striker at 20 something million next season - that's beyond retarded even for us.
I don't remember where I read it.

But if you think about it, Osimhen is top 5 or 3 CF in the world probably, he definitely thinks he is. Who other than top CFs can demand big money? He's in his prime too, about to make a big move.

For sure, but why didn't ANY club go for him beside Chelsea with that absolutely laughable offer? Sure he might have high wage demands, but I don't think they exceed 15M by much. He isn't as marketable as Mbappe and Vini et al, he ain't British so PL clubs won't pay THAT much lol - also, many British clubs slowly getting restricted by PSR and most of the top clubs have made some REALLY bad business and have shitty players stuck on long contracts who will be impossible to sell... like who in their right mind would buy Anthony for example. If you think about it, Oshi will probably not have many options. But what's strange to me is that he was willing to accept a Saudi deal while in his prime, that should disqualify him from being on our radar - even if it just was for half a season. But sure, we don't know the ins and outs - he wasn't welcome in Napoli (I don't have the facts behind that situation - is he a troublemaker or was this all down to Napoli fucking up?), Barca couldn't go for him and RM just signed Mbappe on a crazy contract and PL clubs restricted by PSR this window and Napoli was asking crazy money for him until they drastically had to lower asking prize. So Oshi actually didn't have any other choice than to join Saudi league for half a season or something and get that cash. But anyway, I think there are a couple clubs hard at work trying to get their finances alright to get him in the winter...

Paragraph dawg.

Tbf Osimhen seems a bit like an idiot too which wouldn't be the first time a big player made a bad career decision.

Unlike Jadon Sancho and Joao Felix, Victor Osimhen was not willing to drop his wage demands in line with Chelsea's new structure. Having won Serie A less than 18 months ago, he's probably justified too.

He is getting mad underrated here and I'm not sure why. Even his personality is getting attacked and he has done nothing to warrant that either. Napoli have been totally in the wrong in this affair. He's always been a fairly level headed character.

As a player there is nobody else I'd want at centre forward, bar the obvious Haaland. Vic can be used as a target man but is quick enough to play on the last shoulder as well. He is a physical animal which makes up for not having extreme pace as he simply barges defenders away from the ball.

He is not as clinical a finisher as you'd like, but his movement and strength means he always manages to be on the end of chances. His mentality is one of a killer. He misses, he goes again. Never lets his head go down.

He would get tons of goals here and I'd expect him to totally explode when playing with better players. Another Olmo type situation where a player's level will surprise you.

If we had 70m to spend and the choice was Nico or Vic, I'd choose Vic in a second. Infact, I don't think I'd spend 70m on anyone else in the world other than Vic , bar maybe Cuti Romero.

Felix probably got “fuck of” money from Atletico and none of those players are in demand - on the contrary… Oshi on the other hand is top 5 striker, why should he go from 10M to 4M in Chelsea - that’s ridiculous. Napoli fucked him over not once, but a couple times - greed and idiocy all over the place. We should do everything in our power to get him as replacement for Robert, get that Nike deal and sign a pre-agreement asap so he can come in the winter or next summer - and than try for a gentleman agreement with Lewa, if he doesn’t accept it he burned his bridges and we put him in the stands when he has played 50% of the games and in comes Oshi. CF is the hardest target and one of the most important pieces for next season!

I don't even know what you're arguing. I just said salary could be an issue.

I think he's a great market opportunity if he's available for less than 75m, provide we can sort his wages.

100% right, he would massively improve us, probably more than Nico at the moment

best case would be if we could afford both

Nico, Osimhen, Yamal would be the best trio since MSN

A coupe of things…
Napoli fucked around and found out, he won’t go for anything over 80M especially now after his stint in Turkey and clubs knowing Napoli - I don’t think there will be a bidding war.
Oshi might not be a “franchise” player now, but he will become one when he arrives in Barca.
Jonathan David won’t be free, there are clubs already after him wanting to sign him (Napoli are offering 30M, Lille want 45ish) - he will most probably leave in the winter or pen a contract and move next season.

Osimhen ending up in Turkey is partially a problem of his own creation, he couldn't decide and was demanding higher wages and then the transfer window closed.

But surely, this is a great opportunity for us to secure our future 9.

Have you read the thread dude? Chelsea offered him 4M ffs, of course he demanded more - and it was Napoli who screwed him because they suddenly wanted more money from Saudi’s and they didn’t like that and withdrew from the deal. What was he supposed to do? Top 5 striker, entering his prime - should he go from 11M (or was it 12?) gross to 4M because Chelsea suddenly have a “structure”? Chelsea fucked up with mid’ signings nobody wanted and couldn’t fit him in under PL rules. Oshi did the right thing, he getting paid his 11M playing in Turkey for half a season and than signs with a club that isn’t a fucking joke like United or Chelsea…

But anyhow, he had 1 really good season so we shouldn't simp for this guy or give him or Napoli some astronomical amount of cash. He's still a risk and might not fit in etc, I don't want him if he'll be over 70M and on 20M wage and hopefully Barca doesn't either.
