I also think that players in the Prem should realize their notion of what's a foul and not isn't necessarily the correct one. They are used to foul play, rough tackles and more. That doesn't mean that whenever a ref doesn't let the game get in that direction it's a consipracy against them or anything of the lame 'uefalona' excuse.

soo much this. "not foul in epl" heard in soooo many games with english commentators, pundits and journalists. who really gives a fuck?! that means nothing in this context except that you need excuses.

"Could have a point with that quote as Bayern absolutely demolished them earlier this season. Bayern are still my clear favourites for the CL this year."

+1 for calling out Kompany as being awful at positioning.
In my opinion he is one of the most overvalued defenders.

They shouldn't give interviews straight after the game, he was obviously stressed and butthurt, needed a while to calm probably.

Incredible how tired he looks. Can barely talk. In contrast look at Cesc's interview where he's just laughing and chilling. Although Cesc should be covering more ground than a centerback. DAT tiki-taka must have really worn them out. Kompany certainly doesn't look too healthy here:

Did some of your feces get stuck up your nose? Else I don't get the attitude you're showing in that comment.
Bayern are most people's favourites, not all. Plenty of people have other teams as their favourites to win it this year. So might I inquire what's so funny about agreeing with the majority this year's CL is Bayern's to lose?

Exactly! The "it wouldn't been a fk in the EPL" comment is just silly, we didn't play an EPL game yesterday! And they can foul play, rough tackle as much as they want on a rainy day in Stoke - in CL we play more civilized

Don't get the praise he gets in bluemoon whatever. He was the reason for Demichellis' foul on Messi due to his bad positioning. And it was his fault that Pique got the chance for the (wrongly) disallowed goal.

It's because of his skills in 1 on 1 duels, I suppose. Aside from the fact that he's absolutely brilliant at them, they really serve as eye-candy, and easily overshadow his shortcommings unless you really pay attention and watch the replays.

In my opinion, he was City's best player yesterday. I would love it if we bought him but I don't really see it happening.

His wage demands would be outrageous, plus City won't sell him to us anyway I suppose. Was very good yesterday, but still his positioning is a bit off. During the first leg that was very well visible.

I wasn't so impressed by his performance over the 2 legs of the tie. It looked like he only had 2 choices in any situation, over power the opponent and risk a foul and maybe a booking, or get to the floor and let the size do the magic. I like Kompany so much but he wasn't any where near his best against Barcelona.
