Rooney is actually a player that I have always liked as a football player. One of the few genuinely talented English footballers although I have read that he is actually Irish.

Surprised at how many assists he has since joining United. Especially how they played some dreadful offensive football during the last Fergie years. Obviously, playing with Van Nistlerooy, Ronaldo, Van Persie and Giggs (during his late 00's resurgence) helped, but he's the one constant.
