to be honest, no.

he's a great player, but he's barely coherent in english. you bring him to barca with the catalan/castellano issue and good god it just makes for a mess. plus he's just so very english, I can't see him performing outside of his homeland. plus I doubt colleen would move with him (yes he did lay with whores while she was pregnant, corb) coz she seems to be rather attached to her parents. and then of course he doesn't really fit a 433 unless you play him wide where he would just be like a younger less dashing david villa - so what's the point.
plus, while he isn't fat now, he's short and stocky and a drinker and a (casual) smoker. like ricky hatton in his down-time he doesn't take care of himself in any way, shape or form - which as he ages will become harder and harder to recover from. unless he makes lifestyle changes his body will go to hell in his late 20's/early 30's and his career will drop right off. maybe. I dunno.

basically exactly what i have said about him for nearly a year now. of course back then most of the board was acting like i was daft, maybe now you say it people will see sense.

Rooney is the only top player United have got and Rooney knows that, add that he only has 18 months left on his contract and Rooney is in a very strong position.

im not so sure if he'll stay. i dont personally think it matters if he does or not. manchester united are finished being the force they once were. it happens every team eventually, the question is will they go down the liverpool road (which i think and hope they will), or will they rebuild and spend, they cant spend, so it depends on wheather they can produce another batch of youngsters again and get another schmeichel keane and cantona type players, lets be honest that aint happenin, the purchase of smalling, bebe and such proved that. javi hernandez looks quality, but he's a long way off bein there main man and single handidly winning the club championships.
