No doubt about that, it was a hell of a finish. And I already noticed the rest, that's what I was saying. When two players have a similar performance you'll praise the one you like and then pretend the other was a perfectly ordinary performance, in this case going so far as to actually state that four goals in a game doesn't warrant discussion.

Scoring 4 goals against any side in the top division is a great achievement. Plenty of culés were full of praise for Samu when he put 4 past Valladolid (?) in 45 minutes. And rightfully so. That was somethin' else! Same goes for Rooney's efforts this afternoon. Awesome.

I'd say he's on a similar level to ronaldo, tbh (maybe not as a goalscorer, but as a player).

while CR's emergence as a goalscorer was the headline act in united's three years of dominance, rooney's emergence as a creator and fulcrum to complement CR's brash directness was equally as important.

like cate blanchett in benjamin button. brad pitt got all the headlines but blanchett's performance was just as important for the film's flow and awesome.

or, more footballistically, he was the iniesta to CR's messi. except now in CR's absence he's stepping up and scoring goals really.

he's not as good as messi... but no one is.

You on the other hand are bizarre. He may not look like a mercurial talent but it's different to his actual ability. This is a player who pulls off chips that no other player on the pitch would think of doing.

If Shrek scores about 25 goal a season alone in the EPL i will jump off a bridge.

And you may want to jump off a bridge. 19 goals in the league, 20 in all competitions and it's still January. And considering last season's top scorer in the league had under 20 goals, it was a bizarre statement in the first place.
