Who should replace Valdes?

Lloris, Courtois or Ter Stegen. Since the first 2 are not on the list, I picked Ter Stegen. Neuer would actually be the best, but we all know that's not gonna happen. Pros and cons of each, imo:

Lloris:

Pros:
-Quite experienced.
-Probably the best of the 3 at the moment, in terms of ability.
-Might be easy to get if he's still on Tottenham's bench.

Cons:
-Can't speak Spanish.

Ter Stegen:
Pros:
-Potential. He probably has more than any of the other 2, some are saying he could potentially replace Neuer in Germany's NT.
-Should be easy to get
-Good ball player, from what I've heard.

Cons:
-Can't speak Spanish

Courtois:
Pros:
-Potential
-Can speak Spanish (correct me if I'm wrong)
-Has played in La Liga, so he is used to it.

Cons:
-Expensive
-Hard to get. Harder than the other 2, at least.

Just my 2 cents.

I've read somewhere that Ter Steggen is passing the ball in his club even more than Victor is doing here. And his passing accuracy is really good. This is really a good "pro", when it comes to Barcelona.

He's probably passing more because Valdes barely sees the ball as Barca defends so high up the pitch and when we attack....
But what do I know. Heard positive reviews but as much as I do follow Bundesliga I've only seen few Monchengladbach matches this season as I mostly watch Dortmund, Bayern, Schalke and Leverkusen.

It's really a special set of skills you need to have to be Barca goalkeeper. Concentration would be key characteristic I should think.

That's right, but my point was different. The fact that he passes the ball so much means that he's used to actually keep it in possession of his team rather than just kick it away. If he was bad with his feet, that's exactly what he would have been told to do - kick it far, far away.

One skill that ter Stegen does bring to the table is complete control of the defense (which Valdes isn't that strong in). If he gets comfortable with the team and learns the language he will be barking orders to organize them and keep everyone in position. He has nerves of steel and concentration is something he doesn't lack. If we buy him soon we can easily mold him into a Barcelona goalkeeper because he is really young.

I actually do like Perin a lot. Although if he came to Barcelona he would have to learn to catch the ball more then parry it away because our defenders aren't great at clearing it.

Yeah I agree, but the good thing about that is that he is still young enough to learn.

I'm mostly amused that I was only half serious when I originally said that, then two days later we're actually linked with him :p

I say get ter Stegen along with Hummels. That should solve the communication issue partially, since they can at least communicate easily with one another. It will be expensive though. And that aspect of Ter Stegen should be perfect, he'll also wake Pique up whenever he's daydreaming about Shakira :p
Hell he'll probably even have Mascherano get his shit together whenever we need to use him.

On a side note, Barca's made some great signings in the last few years (Alves, Villa, etc) and some shitty ones (Ibra, Sanchez, etc). I Hope Valdes' replacement is one of the great ones.

As good as Hummels is, he is not leaving Dortmund. He's one of the best CB's in the world right now and their captain. Plus they are trying to become European elites so they aren't gonna sell their star players especially since they don't have to. Plus i'd like him to stay at Dortmund since they are a respectable club and he is their beloved leader. Marquinho's is my ideal CB transfer.
