Ain't gonna lie, enjoyed the group stage. Man is still a fraud though.

Honestly, it was actually a great group stage and surely one of the best in the 7 editions of 32 teams (best one IMO).

The fact that Qatar is very small country also made the experience great for the fans there, as fans of most teams were interacting with each other and very close distance to watch other teams. So he isn't wrong about atmosphere either.

Overall I think it is a success so far, and offered a different experience from a conventional WC, which is a good thing to happen every now and then.

I don’t think it’s an outrageous statement, drama wise it’s probably one of the better of the lot. Football experience for travelling fans has probably been generally positive and better than played up on matters like drinking in stadiums ahead of the experience. Honestly it’s not more than a funny meme but most drinkers won’t give a sod if they’re told not to drink. That Croat model parading her tits out in the stadium with Qatari taking pics is also not being massively persecuted AFAIK. Might be different for protestors running onto the field etc but that’s different story
