World Cup 2022

Has been answered many times, but you pretend on purpose you didn't hear the answer, as a good fanboy that you are

Any team that has been geared to play according to the needs and characteristics of one player, will obviously be worse if you suddenly remove him.
It's not rocket science

But that proves jack-shit about how good a team could have been had it been CONSTRUCTED differently from the outset.
Same applies to the miserable, depressing Barca post-2016 when the was 'carrying' the team

You avoid an elephant in the room here. Post Messi Barca, with a seriously younger and refreshes squad, players like Pedri and Gavi popping up, Dembele being in the best form since having 2 years free of injury, better players in defense
, Fucking lewa in attack, and a full season to adapt. This team somehow managed to drop to Europa league for 2 consecutive seasons. And let's say the first one is due to adaptation period. The second? Why is that. This hasn't happened for how many years exactly? What changed?

Short answer, yes
They have a bunch of very promising young players (20-25 age group) that could have played much better football if they were not instructed to play at pace 0 so that the game goes through Messi's legs.

yeah, so promising that within a year and a half they would have managed to win a Copa America, remain unbeaten for more than 30 games and get among the top 4 teams of the world cup. pretty astonishing for 20 year old strangers

It might need a few years of building.
Possibly a new coach as well might be needed
Rome wasn't built in a day

I would trade any day of the week the last 2 LaLigas that 'Messi won us' post-2016, together with the European humiliations,
for this process to have kickstarted 4 seasons earlier

We are not going to agree, it's ok.
But, building a team, spending a shitload of money in the process, just to be able to progress from the groups of cl, should not take more than a year in any universe.

Ah the classic "which team is better".

With a bit of luck going to other direction we could have easily had Portugal, England, Brasil and Holland instead of other 4 semi-finalists.

Think about that for a second. Team spirit and simple luck can often trump individual quality.

Not claiming that everything is done right in Barca's attempt to rebuild.
That's part of the process too, though.

The important thing is that rebuilding has finally started, despite starting 4 years too late

Will be a very, very interesting game today. Argentina are favourites but Croatia can beat anybody on their day. Before the tournament people were saying that Argentina play like Atl?tico. It has looked though that they play like Real and Croatia plays like Atl?tico.

Croatians already sitting in the city caf?s drinking coffee, smoking their cigarettes and chatting about the game.
the vibes are quite aggressive, but no wonder the whole world (except Netherlands and their own country) is against them.

Be interesting to see Scalonis plan for game.

Have a feeling he may start Paredes at DM and push Enzo higher up to try and make him v Modric a battler.

Enzo has been Argentinas best midfielder in the final third as well when been allowed to get there.

For teams with more pace Scaloni has maybe preferred Enzo to sit deeper and be able to move where needed to help double up but maybe will see Modric as threat and make Enzo v Modric the battle.
