In other news, Marciniak reffing the final. About to extend his record for the Pole with most minutes spent inside the box of either France or Argentina
Other than that Spurs-Juve game at WHL some 5 years ago, yea he's pretty good IMO
But refs similar or better, from Lahoz to Orsato, have had stinkers at this tournament.
More often than not losing players get those awards.Back in real world and away from BBZ irrelevant theories...
Mbappe 5/1 for Golden Ball is good odds.
If he does anything in final and France win it he will get it.
Even if he does nothing and win he has a fair shout assuming Messi doesnt score/assist.

FIFA president not happy Messi has a stronger opponent in the final?
Thats why France will win. They dont depend on one player like Argentina do.
is he good?
And if we are talking about conspiracies and corruptcy, France has "more points" to be favored by FIFA and the refs in the final.
From FIFA's point of view:
1. France has a bigger population than Argentina
2. France is way richer and way more people will buy shirts, sports shirts and shoes
3. they have Mbappe, the future Ballon D Or and GOAT contender
4. Mbappe is the most popular footballer in Africa
1. Argies only have Messi, and FIFA might get a beautiful story if he wins and we'll watch movies about him for the next 50 years like with Pele and Maradona
2. also, Messi is more famous shirts wise in Asia, imo
Regarding Qatar:
1. Psg is in Paris, that is their European home
2. Platini (French) did everything (criminal activities) to give a WC to Qatar. Qataris will need to repay for that
3. rumors say that French politicians were also involved in winning a WC
4. Mbappe is Qatar's/Psg's player. Basically the owner of Psg. Imagine screwing Mbappe with a soft pen in a final (for Argies) and then expecting him to stay at Psg for the next 5 years. No way
Argie's pros:
1. Messi plays for Psg/Qatar and he was surely also promised some bonuses
All in all, French connection and importance is stronger both in FIFA's and Qatar's eyes.
That means that Argies are an underdog in this match, regarding refs.
1. soft pens won't be awarded for Argies at 0:0
2. soft pens might be awarded for French at 0:0
3. Argies can win this match ONLY if they'll score 2-3 regular goals which can't be denied by weird VAR/ref's decision and if they can keep 2:0 or 3:0 even if the refs will help to France later in the match
Welcome to top-level football-business&interests. Enjoy the final
He is a left back, on Messi's attack position. Let's hope he just jinxed his Sunday's game.France star Theo Hernandez insists ?Lionel Messi doesn?t scare us? ahead of World Cup final - https://www.sportbible.com/football...a-theo-hernandez-lionel-messi-872493-20221215

Also, we didn't saw a Messi free kick goal. Would be nice...yea let me dream about it
France is clearly better on paper, but Argentines will play with more heart... Let's see. Expecting less and getting surprised on Sunday? Sounds like a plan.
