That's not what is about, of course he is entitled to have an opinion. He spoke like a fan, not like a manager IMO. He has nothing to gain for commenting in a bad way about Atletico's style. Say he loses the match by 2 goals. Ends up looking like a clown.

Not a big deal in the end, but he should dribble these questions and not get caught by them. That's what these journos expect, some controversy and easy headlines to type as soon as they get their hands on a laptop. 2-3 comments like that, and it gets transformed into "Xavi ridicules Atletico and Simeone's style" .

I think he dissed then in 2016 and that's how it came up and what Simeone is responding to. Not sure though.
