Xavi is an all time great player who was considered by many the heart of "Barca DNA" during Pep days.
Never mind being an all time great for Spain (maybe even the greatest)
He is entitled to have an opinion about the way of playing even if unproven as a coach.
Simeone:
“Years ago Xavi said that Atl?tico de Madrid’s style was not for big teams. Now he will have the opportunity to display what he wants and imagines, since he has new signings and eight players available for his front-three,”
“When a person has only lived with one situation in his life, he doesn’t understand other situations… What he thinks (Xavi) is very respectable because he had the opportunity to have lived huge successes at Barcelona,”
Not to mention that Atletico is a team that is capable of playing poorly, but at times also very well, with high intensity and commitment. Making sure to fire them up by dishing their style pre-game is not smart in any way.
