You're welcome
Aye because they know they're crawling out of a 20 point hole post Koeman, won jack shit to their name and things will take time. I don't disagree this is a feeling being fostered well.

But it's not like he's 'respect' in way they'll ignore repetitive failures and 'trust the process' to end of time. This is not early Klopp
You're talking about almost 2 years ago already min. Yes, I know. Time flies.

What Xavi needs is a more experienced assistant.
What he lacks in experience should have been found in his coaching staff, someone to challenge him and help him grow. The club should have put that demand forward when he was hired.

We definitely do not need experienced staff challenging every decision a rookie manager makes.

That is a recipe for disaster.

Against Real we will need something new: This defence line is unbreakable

Cancelo- Araujo -Christensen-Inigo-Balde
Gündogan-Gavi
Fermin (if Pedri isnt fit)
Torres-Felix

Rejoice barca forum has CL round of 16 is pretty much wrapped up.

The single greatest achievement a young coach could ever accomplish, not winning the league after 4 years..

Nah this this is it.

So even if we fail to win the league this season, going by the logic of this Crazy place who said winning "farmers" league isn't anything to write home about, but CL KO football is, there should be no complaints, yes?.

@delancey how you feeling now bruv lol.

All these injuries and we are till finding ways to get results, it's not pretty and a bit of luck in the Porto game, but we had some bad luck In the league so it balances out.

A little bit of credit should be given

Miracle worker, LOL:ROFLMAO:

Indeed, because it's a miracle to manage to play that badly against LL fodder (the Granadas, the Osasunas, the Getafes, the Mallorcas) with a squad featuring Felix, Raphina, Yamal, Cancelo, Gundogan, Gavi, Frenkie, Kounde, Araujo, Balde and MATS

Xavi apologists are becoming more and more hilarious
What you are failing to understand is that without reliable goalscorers, playing a possession based football is utterly pointless. Lewandowski is way past his prime and in terminal decline, behind him there are 0 alternatives. The only times FC Barcelona has been successful playing possession based football the club has had reliable strikers, be it Samuel Eto'o, Lionel Messi or Hristo Stoichkov. And even still, with both Rivaldo and Kluivert Van Gaal failed to have an impact on European football with FC Barcelona despite reaching 3 European cup finals with Ajax winning both the UEFA Cup and the Chamipons League.

1) Lewa was XAvi's choice and he built his project with him as his 9, so the blame is entirely on him

2) If you are watching the games, and not just parroting catchy lines (some of them might be true in general, like what you write about strikers in possession based systems), the problem is not that we don't have a reliable striker. Lewy is still good in putting the ball at the back of the net *when he gets a shooting chance from a decent position.
The problem is that he rarely gets that under Xaviball. Xavi is clueless in how to work out his team tactically on how to serve his striker in good positions to finish. Part of the problem is also Lewy, as he is immobile, and doesn't contribute to build-up and high intensity pressure. But it is so convenient for the apologists to pinpoint him, isn't it?
No the problem is Xavi's cluelessness. Even when Lewy is out injured, the team is still hopeless in breaking buses, and in creating good chances for its striker

@jamrock I wouldn’t use topping this CL group as a benchmark of success. Let’s see what happens once we face a European team with players on par with our own.

And that’s exactly it! Week in, week out, our football is atrocious. That is not synonymous with being a rooking manager. With that said, Xavi excels in some areas, no doubt. Tactics, playing beautiful football… ain’t it.

Nope, we will find out in the CL vs teams with equal or better talent than our own.

Regardless, it’s not only about squeezing out 1-0 results but also about the kind of football that we play, which is atrocious.

2-1 against Shakhtar at home is pretty below par but considering the game we have up next and the current squad we have, I'll take it. Many players have played a lot minutes lately and those players will likely start vs Madrid. Rather win 2-1 than 5-0 with an injury.
